Senators Public House

Nice pub friendly staff. Didn't try the food but will go back, as menu looked good. Saw an old friend who was in the band. The band were excellent but still after all these years in the clubs you get some people chuntering on about the band will be awful because they do 'one two, one two'! Get a grip! Do you know how much dedication there is put into putting live music on? I'll never understand how people are hostile. Can't be bothered to clap until the last song when for some reason that only God knows.you'd think Dire Straits have turned up! This is no reflection on the pub and 90% of the audience... just the few. Besides this, great. I'll be back

The food arrived very quickly which shows it was prepared before we ordered it, it was ok price wise but wouldn't go back there for a meal again as it arrived cold, when it should of and could of taken longer and been freshly cooked, also the carrot batons were very hard and undercooked. If I were the chef I would taste the food more before sending it out to the public as it was a bit of a let down especially on fathers day Sunday.

Have to admit we were very pleasantly surprised. This pub is in the car park of Sainsbury's... so we weren't expecting great things ... but we needed to kill an hour. Turns out it's a lovely pub. Welcoming staff and we decided to order a couple of meals (ham salad and a ploughmans). The food was great. Definitely will be returning. Note: we went at 17:00 (so I still don't know how rowdy it may get as the evening gets later)
