Placed an order stupidly didnt realise it was pick up not delivery. But the helpfull chap wasted no time in saying no problem just give the driver 2 squid. With that littel oopsy dealy with without problems I then realised I forogt the curry sauce this place offers two chip shop adn chinese chinese my favourite but kids loved the other. Another oopsy etween gluten free and regular items again casued no issue as the helpfull gent sadi look dont worry the price difference pretty much covers the difference. Couldn't argue witht he food either small cod and chips....was small but resaonble (well everyone would like more chips) but it wasnt small taking the mickey. The kids enjoyed battered Sausage with a splash. Light on the batter but not burnt a nice fry so was the cod light and fluffy with a satisfying crisp but not burnt. I cannot praise the fryer and team here enough. When it was deliverd he delivery chap identified himself and made sure I had good grip on all the seperate items, bags. Oh and the order came in a sufficiently stable large bag so no issues with palstic or breakage. Cant wait to order again...allthought I better be carefull chip shop is ony supposed to be on special occasions......But hey every day is special isnt it... ;-)
I'm coeliac and it's amazing to have a fish bar where I can go and get gluten free food without worrying about cross contamination.
This is a lovely fish bar. Portion sizes are good. Queues are not too long. The food is always really hot. There is a wide range of offers on the menu. Check out their potato fritters which are lovely slices of potato in a nice light crispy batter cooked fresh to order.
Good portion size. Served quickly. It's good to see that my order was placed into a paper, not plastic bag.
First time trying since this place has been took over and wow I’m glad I did! Small cod and chips was massive and so tasty all fresh and made to order, lovely customer service from the lady named Natasha, this will be my new local fish and chip shop :)
Very nice fish and chips! Curry sauce was also very tasty! Gluten free fish was brilliant and service was really fast (especially considering its the busiest day of the year)

We got a dozen fish and chips for a family night last Saturday. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The service was excellent (even carrying some of the bags to the car for me ). A great fish and chip shop.

Went to this chip shop last night was working in the area so first time in Hartburn fish bar and dont ever do review but I just have to let you know I had cod and chips and a burger nosh box ,and it was awesome fantastic best ever fish and chips I ever had had a piece of my mate and it to was great so just to let you know great job lovely staff fantastic food, when I am back in the area again I will go out of my way to eat here again well done ........
