First time here celebrating a great friend's birthday. Service was great with just the right amount of interaction. Food was exceptional, so full of flavour that you just didn't want each fork full to end. This was in the 'normal' restaurant, not the STORE which has the Michelin star, so god knows what the food is like in there. £100 a head its a treat meal by my, what a treat. Definitely returning.
A very lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting and historical building. Fantastic service, full of experience and discretion. The food is of great quality and tempting choices! Excellent wine list. We really enjoy this restaurant and will return. Thank you to all the staff who make it what it is.
Sometimes a "fabulous" restaurant is just smoke and mirrors, this is not the case here!
What a joy, simple surroundings with amazing sumptuous food.
The staff are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable with an unobtrusive efficiency. Chris and Georgia looked after us brilliantly.
The menu is not too extensive whilst the wine list covers most areas of the world including local wines.
It is buzzing atmosphere, not quiet and the lighting just right.

Went here for our anniversary. The service was really good. Even though they got our main wrong they quickly replaced it with the correct meal. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly.
While it was a tad expensive as a special occasion it was worth it. Would certainly go back.

My wife and I had our micro wedding reception at Stoke Mill in November 2022, and we’re so pleased that we did.
In the lead up to our big day the owner Ludo was hugely accommodating and took the time to go through every aspect of the day with us, which made us feel completely at ease knowing we were in good hands.
We had considered other venues, but for us Stoke Mill ticked all the boxes, the food and service is amazing (we had previously eaten here so knew their high standards).
The actual venue itself is beautiful inside, it’s very close to the city centre (ideal for us as we got married at the Norwich Castle) however it’s still completely private and secluded with lots of beautiful spots for photos, they stock local wines, there’s plenty of parking, and finally we could play our own music through their speaker system! Small details but they were important to us!
Special mention to the chef and waiting staff who were working on the day, the food was incredible and the staff were all extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble, thank you, it really was the most perfect day.
What can I say about this place, food to die for, we'll maybe not!! But just fantastic from start to finish.

I had a really great meal at the Mill last night. I had the steak for main and it was cooked to perfection and really filling with the sides of Caesar salad and fries. I managed to squeeze in a dessert of crème brûlée and glad I did as it’s was very tasty.
Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!
Lost a star, and almost 2, for the fact that one of the senior front of house staff could do with reminding how to speak to colleagues, especially in ear shot of guests, phrases like “I’ll chop your head off” don’t have much place in any work environment.
However, the remaining staff were great and the food, atmosphere and setting all excellent and so it feels unfair to not provide a just review on that basis.
Had a fantastic three course meal here, you cannot fault the service or the food, absolutely brilliant.
Well presented and beautifully flavoured, can't wait to go back.
It has been many years since we went to Stoke Mill and so glad we returned.
Went for lunch, for main we both had the Halibut with King prawns, mussels, squid, paella rice,lobster bisque, the way everything was cooked was excellent, so tasty, for dessert we had the Hot Chocolate Fondant, it was heaven.
The lunch was expensive but well worth it, the staff were very pleasant and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.
I would highly recommend.
amazing service! food came so quickly and tasted great. the bartenders were so friendly and kind and made the experience excellent. we came for our anniversary dinner and were kindly given a complimentary brownie. we were unable to find a taxi home and the owner of the restaurant spent over 30 minutes personally calling taxis for us and was kind enough to drive us home. loved the whole experience!
Really good lunch, cooking and service is superb, great Christmas menus. A beautiful old building with a modern interior in a lovely setting. Stairs to the entrance are steep and can be a little difficult to navigate.
Do try this..you won't be disappointed! Lovely venue, spacious and attractive dining room, attentive and delightful staff and really superb food. The set luncheon was beautifully presented, adequate portions and wonderful flavours. Best of all was to be so carefully looked after regards a dietary restriction. Absolutely top notch!

Excellent food, good selection of wine and great sevice. On par with starred restaurants. The single vegetarian option was butternut squash risotto which was superb.

I love the fact that it is a family run business with Ludo and his sons working together, I left feeling not only satisfied with my experience but also eager to return.
