I have just moved to Brown Edge and have had so many people recommend The Top Pub for food. I was definitely not disappointed.
The pub, gardens and restaurant look very welcoming. They are a dog friendly pub which is great for us. The staff were lovely, so friendly and really helpful. All of the food was homemade and there was plenty of it. The menu catered for all tastes. They also had "Specials" evenings which is brilliant to know especially when I don't want to cook. We all thought our meals were delicious and my son is a really fussy eater, he even cleared his plate so that is a massive compliment to the chef and kitchen staff. We will definitely be returning and soon.

Even though this pub is close by, today was the first time there, and let me say it did not disappoint!! Best roast in a long time. This is no cheap carvery. It's a proper hearty Sunday Roast. The food was spectacular! The management was lovely and so welcoming, and the waitress was the sweetest and most competent hard worker. A return is a must, and a visit from all is a need!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
We had a booking for 24 of us for a sit down meal on Father’s Day and 2 birthdays.
We did a pre order on the meals to help the chefs and waiting on staff.
The food is out of this world, all home cooked, fresh and just delicious!

Called today for lunch without booking. Lovely, clean, cool pub on one of the hottest days. Quite possibly the best meal we've had out this year. Fantastic prawn linguine, perfectly cooked steak and the absolute best garlic bread and chips. Quick, friendly service, water and treats for the dog and overall a fabulous visit. We will be back.
Food was good. There appeared to be a number of new staff on the day we visited so a few minor issues there but everyone was friendly. Nice environment would go again
If you're wondering whether to go to the Top Pub for reasonably priced great food and good friendly service, you will not go anywhere better.
We've just been and it was delicious the home made pies with tender steak in, with chips and the biggest bangers with mash and peas, all came piping hot.

The staff are lovely. The place itself is clean, tidy, and well looked after. Food was good also. Would definitely go again if we lived in the area. Was over visiting family
Took my mother in law for lunch yesterday (Saturday). Really nice inside, fantastic food, we had lasagne, followed by cheescake. It was £7.50 for two courses! It was really busy too, which says a lot. Lovely staff. We will definitely be back.
Tapas night and all the extras we ordered were amazing. One of the best meals I’ve had. I’d give back across the country for a portion of the chips!!
Sat outside, 2 dogs, it was a boiling hot day, dog friendly, treats, were asked if we wanted water bowl but we had our own, no shade lets it down
