Good pub, staff were friendly. Food baskets is a good idea I’ve never seen that before. It was good pub grub too.

Food was ok but nothing startling. Good range of beers and some nice wines. Friendly staff. They have live music some nights but nit when we were there. Good value food.
I went for dinner on 22/7/2020 i had own made pie chips and peas the pie was big and i can honestly say the steak and mushroom pie was full to the top and lovley i even took a photo so people could see, the prices were excellent and affordable my wife had home made lasagne chips and garlic bread and it was also excellent and tasty the food was piping hot we will deffinatley be going again good luck to the new owners and covid rules apply
Came for a birthday Sunday lunch . Good meal and a good atmosphere was enjoyed. Will visit again soon.

Recently refurbished and under new management - excellent family friendly pub. A great meeting place for friends and family alike. Food served 12 noon - 3pm and 6pm - 9pm. Excellent quality food and a 5 star service. Great choice of drinks- on draft and bottled.
You can expect a friendly welcome whether your just calling for a quick pint or food.!

Proper home cooked delicious food, has to be the best lasagne I've eaten anywhere! Can't complain about anything, the people were lovely, nice clean establishment. Definitely 10000% reccommend. Enjoyed every mouthful of my food!
Excellent food...very friendly staff and service..Landlord and Landlady very welcoming.. Lovely atmosphere with a nice mixture of clientele. Lots of weekly special menus and good variety of events. Saturday nights offer fantastic live entertainment for a great night out. Highly recommended for quality home made food at reasonable prices and Entertainment Saturday nights
We were passing and were a bit hungry so gave it a go. The decor is a mix, it had some local artists work which was nice but it felt a little tired.
The food though was very good, I had a steak med-rare and it was spot on with some nice seasonal veg. The wife is a veggie and she didn't fancy anything off the menu but the chef, with a very matter of fact Mancunian accent came out and just asked what she likes, he smiled and said "yea, I can come up with something". Less than 15 minutes later, out came the surprise vegetarian dish, all fresh and as good as she's had in a long time. It wasn't too busy and it remains to be seen if he can do that for everybody when they are busy but nevertheless it was quite impressive.
It could do with a little more choice in wines and the decor needs a bit of a lift but otherwise, quite a gem.
Come here same time every year to meet friends for a meal. I am a wheelchair user and they are extremely helpful and accommodating. Wonderful hosts and service. Food very good.. Throughly enjoyed it

Nice pub with a friendly atmosphere, have enjoyed it every time I have been. Nice beer, not expensive at all. My mate informed me the wine was good too.
