Visited The Moorland Inn this evening, Thursday, 26th October, 2023 with 3 adult members of my family. On entering we were greeted warmly by the bar staff, and directed to our reserved table.
The ordered food and drinks at the bar, a few changes to the food as described in the menu were required and these were dealt with easily and without any issues.
The food arrived quickly and was exactly as ordered.
The food was nicely presented, piping hot and very tasty indeed.
A very enjoyable evening, and we will readily and happily return. Very nice, well done.

Nice meals, partner had jerk chicken but wasn't spicy enough and I had fried butterfly burger, but originally brought out a beef burger one.
Pudding was delicious but puds are my favourite.

Service was great! Jack (The Manager) helped a new guy to serve us that was struggling and catered any further needs we had at our table.
10/10 visit & lovely atmosphere while visiting

Excellent value for money and both our meals were very well presented and tasty. Would recommend.
Only negative I felt was the ladies toilets needed a good clean and decorating.
If this was done would have scored 5*

We pre booked a table for Sunday evening at short notice. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly and helpful guy. Quickly seated and advised to select our food and drinks then pay at the bar. This we did and returned to the table to await our food. Quickly served our Chinese style belly pork and roast veg were very tasty , well presented and a good portion. This pub is busy and the staff were very pleasant. There is a friendly atmosphere too. The Moorland offers a large carpark, beer garden, pool etc Dogs are not allowed inside but are welcome outside. Children are allowed in with diners, not sure about otherwise.

Came as a large group for a family birthday, ordered food and it came out all together . Everyone enjoyed their food. Only downfall was one of the older waitresses she was very very very miserable no manners infact I don't think she even spoke as she cleared the tables of plates , even after passing her one not even a thank you . Perhaps just relay to her manners cost nothing. Other than that was great.

Me and my parentervwent for a quick meal and a pint, place was clean and tidy, staff where helpfully and cheerfully given the time of night, my partner had a double chicken burger with chips wich he cleared the plate I had surf and turf wich was a steak with garlic Prawn on little too much garlic for me and I'm a huge garlic lover but I still cleared the plate, cheap cheerfull and cosy 😋

Fabulous breakfast. So fresh and very good value. Staff very friendly and open at ten for breakfast! Will definitely go again and considering the takeout service.

It's the finest, most compete rive chain of pubs/kids runaround/diners, offering the finest ales, ciders, And the wine cellar can be visited on request. It's way better now than when you had to pay £3 less and guarantee pull more than the barmen did, I'd recommend going early because of the fine humour and charismatic staff offer you, gone are the days when we had to listen to good soul, it was always a bit loud for me, now I prefer to hear someone shout out, I'll put it on my Amex gold card " wheelchair access is great, they will by prior arrangement give a free MOT when you spend 1000 pounds in a calender month, except the monthly guest ale which is a tad less expensive because it contains sugar. So hip hip, here's to many more evenings in the Wolstanton miners club

On this occasion there was nothing that needed improvement, the food was lovely and served reasonably fast, drinks were brought over pretty much straight away as we ordered. All in all it was a good night

Very good service. Ordered at the bar but you can QR if you wish.
4 mains for around 60 pounds and good choice is great for a family. Loved the hot-dog as it was a proper sausage not a frankfurter. Salmon was freshly cooked with a nice variety of 4 veg. Chicken burger was large and a decent size portion of chips for all. Nachos had a load of chilli, cheese and bacon (nearly too much cheeese) which was a great combination.
Guiness was poured properly with a good aroma and taste.
Staff were very helpful with quick and efficient service.

We go to the Moorland Inn every week. Polite staff....lovely food...varied wait for food depending on how busy it is...bear in mind they are chefs not magicians! Lovely atmosphere. Great drinks prices. Would highly recommend x

It’s the first time we have been for breakfast here and what a surprise. It came on sizzling on a plate (I would post a picture but it won’t let me) will definitely go back I wasn’t expecting that. Staff were fantastic, food was amazing and the sizzle was the icing on the cake. Thank you!!!

Only giving a 4 instead of a 5 as vegetarian portion sizes are quite small compared to the meat eaters food but other than that we arrived to have dinner yesterday and managed to get a good table, there were 4 adults and a 6mth old baby, the table was clean, the food came out quick and the staff were very helpful in getting me a bowl of hot water to warm my daughter's food in that id taken with me which i was very greatful for, table was cleared away quickly, so all in all great service & lovely clean atmosphere

We had booked a table ,we waited 1 hour for our food ,and when it arrived we were told where to get the cutlery when I went there were no forks so our meal was on the table and I had to wait while the waitress who was run of her feet went into the kitchen to get forks ,the food was ok .

Don’t have the black & blue fed up of finding too much fat in the steak. Should have complained but left the fat on side of plate😤😤

Booked a table for 8 for a birthday celebration ...the table was reserved..the service was excellent as was the food. The meals were served together and piping hot. Most definitely recommend 100%

I go fairly regularly I was there on my birthday it was an excellent meal friendly staff competitive prices. I also have an interest my son is a chef there and he works hard to make the meals for the customers. ..keep up the good work guys. ..

Good atmosphere. Usually have a meal when we come here. Food is tastes nice but portions are a bit small. Kids are always left feeling hungry still and they aren’t really big eaters. Always plenty of bar staff on but need to smile a bit more 👍🏼

I don't get what people are moaning at I booked a table for 11 ppl for a family birthday and the service was excellent, they were very accommodating and the food was nice, I have had better but also had worse and for what you pay I was more than happy, even gave our 2 children a free desert because there was a mix up with the meal deal, could do with home made roast pots and chips but at least they used mc cains n it's understandable as they are a busy kitchen
Justin Lee John Ratcliffe
Sharing starter was pretty good.
Two mix grills were not one of us hardly ate anything of it and i didnt eat all of mine as tbh honest , it wasnt very nice and the sausages were soft .
This is the first time i have EVER given a bad review for pub food. I hate to waste food but sorry i won't be eating here again.
Disappointed.

It's the first time we've been to the Moorland and we went on recommendation. We had to wait a while for the main meals and desserts but when we received the food it was good quality and the steaks were cooked to our liking. The serving staff were polite and courteous. We would definately go again.

Found us a table for 7 no problem which was nice. Food was slow arriving after we ordered and none of our party enjoyed the veg which seemed like it had just been soaked in cold water and then microwaved. We ordered a side of seasoned chips and received plain ones after we asked for them 10 mins after the meals were served. They were luke warm and soggy so assume they had been stood there a while. We were not asked if everything was ok and it was at least 30 mins till we asked for the dirty plates to be moved. We ordered sweets which were served in hot dishes, therefore the ice cream was melted. Seems like the staff were very busy...maybe get more staff at busy times.
