Lovely pub with reliable good food. Pies are extremely tasty and a great offer on steak in Wednesday nights!
We stopped by on our small hike from the canal (narrowboat holidays) to Mow Cop Castle. This pub has separate seatings for serviced and self service areas. When we stated that most of our party is vegan the service presented us an extra menu with numerous vegan options. We had the jacket potatoe wit
Nice pub. The pork belly starter was good, so was the burger and the seabass. However, the Hunters chicken was oily yet dry, with quite miserable looking (reheated) fries. So the food can vary a bit.
Came here with the kids on a sunny day, absolute gem of a pub, great value and great food. Kids play area is great and you get stunning views outside. Will be back and would recommend!
This is a lively place to come with children as there is a wonderful play area outside. Food prices average, service was friendly and quick. Not much choice for vegetarians or vegans so worth ringing ahead to check what is on the menu.
Very friendly and helpful. Good food, excellent service. A very popular pub. Nice decking balcony are for outdoor dining.
A really pleasant experience, food delicious, staff friendly and location beautiful 🍽🥰
Lovely view from the outdoor sunny tables. Pie + chips and fish + chips v tasty. Excellent offer. Very friendly service.
Really quick service, all food was delicious and freshly prepared, staff are lovely especially Laura who made my son feel very special for his birthday and very friendly. Would highly recommend and be back again 😊
Great pub, lovely location and great views. Service brilliant and great choice menu and good value, highly recommended.
Lovely Inn, warm and welcoming. Nice food and drinks at reasonable prices. Fantastic views overlooking the Cheshire plains. A lovely outside seating area. As advertised completely dog friendly. A carpark at the side. This is a gem for walkers and also for anyone looking for a cosey evening. Popular
Nice pub very polite staff. Only visited a couple of times but always a nice welcome.
Very nice place, very quiet time of day we went in (4pm on a Monday) so no Social Distancing issues. Lovely food too - we had a steak & onion baguette, chips & salad & beautifully cooked & served. Staff very nice & attentive too. We'll certainly revisit!😊
Just had Sunday Roast here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We thought it was a decent plate full.
Steak night on Wednesday, a great meal which we both enjoyed, thanks the dogs enjoyed it too 👍
Very pleasure pub serving a good pint of ale and a very tasty cajun chicken burger. One to try if you are going to the Mow Cop castle.
Great steak and friendly table service. The Saturday night band Tumbling Dice were entertaining
Such a lovely welcoming environment, following all guidelines and social distancing in place, table service, reasonably priced. All in all a lovely pub, looking forward to using this pub more often once again.
