Heard big things about the food here, and it didn't disappoint! Curry was best I've had in a long time! Fully recommend
Bar area is modest but the restaurant is popular The menu offers a limited range of British dishes along with some Indian dishes and a few Chinese dishes We normally avoid fusion menu places but this was okay. The burger was a bit dry, the onion bahjees were great and the Lamb Bhuna was quite good
We enjoyed our meal. Good variety of choice on the menu for starters and main courses, disappointed with dessert options (But was full by then!). Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. The Indian sharing platter was delicious! 😋 Will go back again.
Got a room very last minute, when all other places turned us down. Very grateful for this indeed. The location is ideal, right in the centre, the room was cosy with a nice view. The staff was incredibly lovely. The building is stunning inside!
Stayed here a couple of times with my work.rooms are clean breakfast is spot on and the menu at night is interesting with an Asian twist.great curry and naan breads.would stay here again
County Hotel is WONDERFUL as in wonderful staff, food, atmosphere, location, location, location! This place has an Old World ambiance. Room was comfy, quiet and tidied every day. Full breakfast was included. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. Ferry and bus terminal are only steps away an
The food, staff, are excellent. Price's are reasonable.
Went for dinner to the county hotel tonight, first time in a long time, the food was fabulous, the nicest steak I have ever had in a restaurant, it was gorgeous. The waitress was excellent, very friendly and efficient, will definately go back again. 😃😃
Had a sit in meal, first time in a long time. Went for the Indian menu...not disappointed. Food was excellent. Place was quite busy and only 2 serving made for a bit of a wait. But, well worth it. Will definitely be back.
We had a beautiful meal from the Indian menu last night. Quality was second to none and staff were great. Highly recommend!
Menu of European, Indian & Asian dishes wide selection available. Curry was very tasty good flavour, served in a comfortable dining area. Good coffee ☕, pleasant staff.
Didn't use rooms, just ate there. All good, give it a try.
Staying in the area for work & thought I'd give this place a try. Slightly odd menu which caters for all, usual fish, steak, lasagne, chicken Balmoral etc but also does a wide selection of Indian & Chinese, pakora, naans, curries, chow mien. Great service from the 3 young ladies, I was the only one
Stayed here for 1 night in September Room was on, bed was comfortable Water pressure was rubbish and taking a shower was a joke Bar and waiting staff were the real stars here A young group of ladies who were so so good. On point with the service and their attention to their customers was excellent F
A lovely warm welcome from the owner and staff, a cosy coffee with a friend and tasty soup for lunch. Thank you, we will come again!
Only place we could get a table but what a gem. English, Chinese and Indian food on menu. Freshly cooked. Really good value and staff were lovely. Went again next night. Best meals in our 4 week hols. Thank you to the staff.
