Had some beautiful fish and chips from here this evening- perfectly cooked. Like all chip shops the standard of food can vary (depending on how long ago it was prepared, quality of potatoes etc) but they're pretty consistent and the staff are friendly with service usually quick too. I suspect the 'one star' reviews posted are fake and malicious.

Lovely delivary service through just eat. The sausages are lovely from the local butcher. Yum yum chips are not greasy just right. Fresh roe is nice sliced down the middle so cooked even. I'm not keen on their cod though did not taste like cod and batter was not very good. Don't know why? Mushrooms in batter bit over cooked for my liking but still nice. That's all we have tried and a honest review still room for improvement over all good chip shop good sevice.

Order by phone on online so you don’t have to wait. They are very popular so you can expect to wait unless you pre order particularly on a weekend. Super helpful over the phone and a great service. Recommended

Food lovely and big range but always so busy that there is a wait or mistakes made. Order via the app to go and collect and no matter how long you leave it before coming to collect they only seem to start the order when you get there. Usually something missing like a drink from kids meals when ordering a few meals together.

Orange chips!! We heard about the legendary battered chips and had to try them on their midweek special menu. So delicious. We also ordered cod and S&P squid chunks. It was all brilliantly cooked and fresh. Will return when we are back in England. Blackcountry has the best people and the best chips.

As always it was excellent. On this occasion I had fresh row and chips. It was delicious and piping hot. The row was just the right size for my appetite is along with the scoop of chips. The staff were great and very helpful.

Good quality food as always. Also i just wanted to day what the member of staff did for the homeless man, paying for him to have some chips was endearing to see. You had a pink hat and apron. I think that was a really nice thing for you to do
