I took my two grandsons (aged 3 and 5) for lunch on Thursday. It’s their favourite place where they eat the best mac ‘n’ cheese and margarita pizza they love so much. The staff are always amazing and can never do enough. I am vegan so ordered a bit of a ‘mish mash’ off the menu. The kitchen staff could not have been more helpful ensuring all ingredients were OK for me, even showing me ingredient lists on additional side dishes so that I felt confident in what I was eating. Thank you again. We will be back!!

Amazing pizzas!! The best I’ve ever had and believe me as an avid pizza fan, I have been to a lot of places and I can honestly say they are the best. The carvery is also lovely and they have a variety of veg and salad to choose from. It is excellent value for money and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I don’t usually review places, but really thought I had to on this occasion! Well done!

Had my son's christening party there on Sunday. The staff were so helpful and the section we had was perfect, sectioned off from the pub. England was on at 2pm and we had our own tv. Foos was all hot and delicious. Was perfect. Only thing im worried about is when I went to decorate the venue (10mins) I didn't register my car as didn't even think with having 100000 balloons and my 5 yr old with me....I'm hoping I don't get a fine

Great food and great value. Carvery was great with four different types of meat and a nice range of vegetables and sides. Kids all enjoyed the freshly made stone baked pizzas and they were all thrilled with their meals. Puddings were delicious and all around £3 which was amazing. Staff were really friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back.

I used to come here before covid struck and decided to visit again on a whim. Let me just say, wow! Talk about an upgrade from the old carvery it used to be. The food was magnificent, and the staff were phenomenal, friendly, and easygoing. The decor had also been re-vamped from when I was last in - very impressed. I don't often give something 5 stars across the board, but the Old Whitehorse earned it today, especially considering the low costing in comparison to other places offering the same in food quality. Sensory wise, if you or a loved one are on the spectrum, the music was low level when we went in today (Thursday at approx 5:15-7pmish) although it was busy it wasn't overwhelmingly busy, and the lighting was also sensory friendly. (No abrasive lighting and access to natural light) wear ear defenders if super sensitive noise wise, otherwise I'd suggest that you just may be ok 😊

I attended the pub a few evenings ago for a last minuite meet up .Beautifuly presented establishment and can not fault the lady who served me. I walked I. With my husband and 11 year old, very shy son and within seconds of entering she had the previously silent , shy lad chatting about all sorts . Good ale, good food, good environment

Visited here for the first time since its refurbishment from when it was a carvery. The decor inside is modern whilst holding that vintage feel. The location has dining huts on the exterior also. The customer service from the team was excellent with quick friendly service throughout. It is noted that there was bar service only and no table service. The drinks in regards to cocktails could have tasted better as one of the ones we ordered was a funny colour and tasted a bit off. Overall I would visit again however.

Service was good and very pleasant server. Think the sea bass dish needs rethinking the skin should be crispy not slimy. Potatoes were dry and undercooked. Needs more asparagus. Sauce is delicious. The other dishes were better value

We come here quite often. Jeannie is a real asset and coped admirably alone behind the bar today . We waited an hour for our meal following ordering , frequently the wait for food on a Sunday is 45 Mons + , maybe more staff required to ensure faster service . Having said that ,the roast beef was the best we have had here,it was tender and pink in the middle. ..just perfect. My husband s roast parsnips, however ,were not cooked through and so we're not pleasant. We also asked for extra jug of gravy from our waitress, another waitress asked if all was ok and we said we were waiting for extra gravy ...it never appeared which was disappointing . It looked as though there were only 3 staff which I feel is not enough for a busy Sunday lunchtime. Food was good ,staff are friendly and if you don't mind waiting for food I would recommend.

An experience which one would typically come to expect of an Ember pub. Good food from a standard menu, served by obliging staff in a typical pub setting. One of us had salad. Two of us had the chicken curry with poppadoms and naan bread. Although the service was a bit slow (the pub was rather busy) the curries arrived piping hot and enjoyable.

This is the second time we met as staff at this venue. The food was tasty. There were fix ups we had to sort but staff were incredibly helpful. Enjoyed seeing families spending time in the early evening. Children everywhere. Great family vibe.
