The atmosphere was friendly and the service was excellent. I had a perfectly nice pub lunch (puffed pastry over beef with peas and chips) and a pint of local ale. As a tourist, I went in looking for a good English pub experience and left happy and satisfied.

Had an absolutely delicious roast here on Sunday evening. Great, lively atmosphere and the roast was the best pub roast we have ever had. Friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Great steak & Ale pie - highly recommend! Husband had the Sea Bass & fresh veg. Good portions & value for money. Had the Citrus Tart for pud - delicious.
