A fantastic little place, off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Gorgeous food, freshly made and we had a mixture of savoury and sweet all of which were delicious. A very cool little enclave with an arty/artisan vibe 👌😀

An amazing place to eat in Stranraer! Has really good teas, milkshakes, and coffee's. Tasty pastries and scones. And one of the best breakfast plates I've had in the UK! Fresh ingredients and wonderful service with vegetarian friendly options as well. Bonus! They are a breastfeeding friendly cafe with a nice changing area for babies. Perfect little family spot!

5 stars are not enough. Apple and parsnip soup, savoury tart and we had to have takeaway cake as we couldn't walk past them.
Dog Friendly and well spaced tables. Staff aren't bad too ;-) Don't bother looking for anywhere else if visiting during the day.

Our breakfast was so good! The smashed avocado toast with a poached egg and smoked salmon was one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful lunch today. The soup was delicious, mushroom toast was great,the bagel was immense and the children loved their cakes. It was a great find and we would surely come back again whe we are next in the area!

Dropped in for some coffee and cake. There was a great selection of cakes and the coffee was spot on, always nice to see some Deer Green. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a really nice overall vibe to the place.

Had seen this on Google maps with a excellent write up so we decided to give it a go, looks pretty ordinary from the out side but soon as you get in and see the food on view the hard job of picking something to go with your tea or coffee begins, whatever you decide I don't think you will be disappointed, I had a latte and a large piece of mocha and chocolate cake, heaven, prices not bad, shame I'm only visiting otherwise it would be a regular stop

I don't often give 5 stars but well deserved. Slightly away from the town centre but well worth the extra couple of hundred metres walk. Pancake stack was the best I've had outside of the USA. Gingerbread cake also superb. A well made proper Americano to accompany it rounded off a great eating experience. Lovely cosy atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff and reasonable prices. This all adds up to a well deserved 5 stars. Will definitely call in again next time I'm in Stranraer.

A lovely local cafe serving quality food and drinks. The quiche is creamy and soft. The tomatoes soup is filled with beans and veggies. It has a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Don’t want to sound like a typical tourist, BUT after 6 weeks in the UK ..walked in here and first thing we saw was Vegemite, followed by a Melbourne Australia coffee menu. Yayyy!
Then the bread we had with our breakfast was lovely sourdough. Don’t mind English stodgy white bread and Irish scones and soda bread but can’t compare. Everything was brilliant including the owner Maria.

Such a lovely place, highly recommended. I was working in Stranraer this week, and spent a couple of afternoons working out of here, the staff kept me stocked up with tea and coffee, and gave recommendations of places to go in Stranraer of an evening. I ended up in the Fig & Olive every day.

Lovely interior, very friendly staff and delicious food- both healthy and indulgent. Stopped by this place with local family. We are from California and this place caters to our healthy dietary preferences with salads, non dairy options for coffee (soy lattes!). It also has delicious pastries and sandwiches. The staff are also very friendly and the interior is comfortable and modern. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

What a wonderful find! The food was great and we were really looked after by the staff.
Phyllis had roasted mushrooms, wilted spinach on toasted sourdough topped with a poached egg and I had the pork and fennel sausage roll with grape and apple chutney and a selection of salads. Delicious!
You can tell that they care about the food they make and their customers. We would return at the drop of a hat!

Best coffee shop for miles! Excellent coffee, delicious food and very friendly owner. Order the florertines! Don't miss a stop off at the larder opposite for a great selection of fine foods....we can highly recommend the Belgian chocolates! We will be back.
