Lovely wee cafe/bistro in Agnew Park. Large, long stay public car park adjacent. Views up Loch Ryan to the ferries and Ailsa Craig. Great service and tasty food. Reasonable charges. Seems a very well managed establishment. May be worth reserving a table as seems to be a popular place.

Pleasant enough place. Only one serving tables when we arrived (did go up to two eventually), so if they were making coffee for one table, was a bit of a wait for the other to give order. Noticed they had poached smoked haddock + poached eggs on menu. Although it came with a sauce + cheese scone, I wondered if I could have just the fish + eggs. Yes I could, wonderful, however, this seemed to confuse the kitchen. They wanted to improve its presentation, but we got there in the end. Would have been nice to have full slice of fish, or at least more of it + poached eggs runny, but was tasty enough, eaten and enjoyed. Did feel bit unfair that despite not taking the salad, scone, sauce, etc., I was still charged full amount as if I had. Cooked breakfasts had by others were OK. Scrambled egg with smoked salmon, was a bit lacking in smoked salmon, but enjoyed Particular brand of coffee wasn't to our liking, but that's just personal taste. Two of us went on to have cake which was fine, albeit not a vast selection. Was hoping for doughnuts as per photo on website, but alas they don't make them as a regular. So don't be fooled into thinking what you see in the photo is what you'll get in the restaurant. Not the cheapest, wouldn't necessarily say cost is reflected in quality. But did the job on a wet Sunday.
This lovely Cafe in Agnew Park at Stranraer sea front is very popular with locals and with tourists passing through.
Callum is the chef and his wife Magda runs the Cafe/Bistro.
It is affordable and very good quality food here, with a Meat or a Vegetarian menu available and some gluten free options.
Or you can just opt for a coffee and a cake or scone.
Lots of customers outside when we visited, with bikes and dogs welcome.
Huge car park nearby and public toilets.
Stopped with out booking and we were in luck, they had a slot.
Amazing service, lovely location and awesome food. I am a huge fan of 'diner' food, and their fully stacked burger was awesome!
With a play park and some great grassy areas why would you not visit... Just remember to book!
Staff very super down to earth friendly. Food was amazing. Great atmosphere. Fantastic disabled access and disabled toilets. If we ever came back to Stranraar I would definitely come back here. The views are beautiful

Such a wonderful place near the sea service was impeccable the food incredible and the manager was so kind friendly and very good to her staff. Lovely atmosphere I would fully recommend this quaint lil cafe by the sea .

Found it while walking along the see front when on holiday in Stranraer and must say that it was excellent food fantastic and the girls that worked there were amazing and helpful couldn't have been more accommodating will definitely be back the next time we visit Stranraer
Friendly staff, good variety of good value food. Nice outlook, with an open-air first-floor seating area.
Had lunch today with my wife, service, food and location excellent, the staff were first class, this was our first time visiting definitely not my last.

Such a lovely place! Really good, decent priced food and the staff were just excellent. The menu was already good for dairy and gluten free options, and the chef was very accommodating to my requests. And the two girls that served me (unfortunately I didn't catch their names) were so helpful and sound! They really created a very friendly vibe, excellent customer service all round. Would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again!

Very nice restaurant with really kind service. Polish pickle soup was a perfect choice after long ride to visit the Stranraer City. I will remember that one and hope to get back here again with my kids next time visiting Scotland.
Lovely position with a great outlook. Breakfast after parkrun was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Loved this place but had to sit outside as dont allow dogs. Luckily the weather was kind so we could. Went here for food/snacks about 4 times whilst on holiday lively lDy who served us and food was good as well nit to pricey

I had lunch with my 4 children here and had a pleasant experience. The staff were warm, friendly and observant despite being very busy. The menu I found robust and reasonably priced, and the meals were absolutely delicious... I was touched when one of their service staff brought a small extra plate of salad for my 2 year old daughter when she noticed I was sharing mine with her. My kids enjoyed their meals, and it was a nice way to conclude our holiday at Scotland as that was our last day before returning home. :)
I had the soda scone halloumi with red onions. Savoury and sweet in one delicious dish!
