The food is good, and well presented. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very well decorated, with traditional Portuguese tiles on the wall and portuguese music on the background. You have to bring your own bottle of wine if you desire, because the premises don't sell alcohol. It was a bit disappointing for us, because when we booked the table there wasn't any information on the website about this.

Newly open restaurant in Stratford upon Avon! We had to visit it straightaway. What an amazing experience we had! Nice atmosphere, lovely staff who explained us everything and recommended us different dishes. The food was absolutely delicious! Probably one of the best one in town. We had a starter, main and a dessert. Everything was fresh, flavours were sublime and we loved the traditional music that was playing. You feel like on a little holiday there. We hope they’ll get their alcohol license soon and we wish them loads of customers who appreciate quality food. The prices are great as well. Seriously, go and visit. We missed something like that in Stratford upon Avon. Thank you again for amazing experience. Made our day. ❤️

If you like delicious and authentic Portuguese food, this is for you. We had bacalao em natas (a sort of Portuguese fish pie) and it was fantastic. Paolo and Anieta were super friendly, too. Best coffee (double espresso) I've had in a long time.

What a lovely place! The food is great, the staff is fantastically friendly.
We had delicious Portuguese food, from starters to mains. The food was so abundant that we could not find any room in our belly for the tasty looking desserts on display.

Great place and very lovely food. Just bring your own wine.
Sadly we live in the Netherlands otherwise this would be our new favoutite restaurant.
Also is the Fred winter centre a very good project.

Very delicious food, and a true hidden little gem. Friendly staff and service and lots of choose on the menu meant we had to have a full 3 courses!
They do not have an alcohol license at the time of visiting so it was BYOB with resonable corkage fee.

We've just ordered in from Cork and Tile and it was absolutely incredible! Lovely food, especially loved the coconut and pineapple cake. Such lovely Mediterranean food during the heatwave when cooking is just not something I want to do!

Best dining experience in Stratford upon Avon in a long time! Great new addition to the scene and the team deserve success. Restaurants upstairs always suffer with their location (the trepidation of what's up there...) but I urge you to give it a go.
The owners know what they're doing - they have a successful restaurant in Exeter. They've done a nice job of modifying the warehouse-like space - there are cosy booths to the right, and café-style seating nearer the bar. The décor is indeed cork and tile - it works well.
There's plenty to choose from on the menu, with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked. The only thing you won't find is alcohol - they don't have a licence (I'm not sure if they plan to get one).
We tried the tasty Portuguese fizzy fruit juices - you'd almost think it was a cocktail and the bar-tender was busy creating alcohol-free sangria for other diners.
We chose mains of steak and sausage - the food was well made and presented. Leave space for a dessert - there are lots to choose from! Apparently many of the staff are trainees, including our waitress Rachel, possibly on her very first shift - she was a little nervous but the C&T are lucky to have her! Paolo on front of house and the other Paulo on the bar made us feel welcome with their friendly chat and funny stories.
Whether you're just visiting Stratford or you're a local, get up those stairs and give the C&T a try. You'll have a delicious dinner, a fun experience and you'll be supporting this interesting non-profit enterprise in the old Fred Winter store. We'll be back!

Polite and friendly staff. Interesting spotless dining area with individual booths. We enjoyed both mains dessert and coffees. Nice pleasant relaxing atmosphere with Portuguese playing music.

Slightly disappointing, currently offers 50% off food for table sizes of 2 to 10, but sole diners offered no discount. It's not ideal for members of the community who feel excluded and would like to go out to send such a message. (Based on the very helpful reply, I've changed the rating)

I came across the Cork and Tile accidentally. It’s not obvious, and it will have to work to attract visitors off the beaten track. The building was had builders, decorators evident, so still evolving.
Lovely food, though with the usual European limited approach to vegetarians. I enjoyed the platter of legumes à Brás, tomato migas, chickpea migas, cheese samosa, and salad russa. I added a side of potatoes.
No alcohol, but lots of fruit juices.
Set up as a social enterprise with a training kitchen, I look forward to seeing how it evolves in Stratford.
The waiter did say to ask about dishes if I was to return, they’d see if they could accommodate them. I’m guessing it would be the same if you were to call them and precook.
Good luck The Cork and Tile Portuguese.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant! The one and only Portuguese restaurant we found in Stratford upon Avon and the experience was so good! The food is incredible and they are very friendly. Thank you for having us!
