Visiting my daughter in York, so we went to the Half Moon for Sunday dinner- I must say it was delicious and one of the nicest I've had!
All fresh, and homemade yorkshire puddings too.
Staff are very friendly, would highly recommend and I will definitely be visiting again 🙂
A fantastic pub run by a lovely landlady. We were over in Strensall for two weeks and were regular users of the Half Moon. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Fabulous Sunday lunch, piping hot and really lovely veg also vegetarian option really nice freshly cooked party of eight and everyone very happy and content.

Great pub and friendly staff and customers,dog friendly in the rear bar,best crisps sold. Food done on a Tuesday,Thursday and Sunday roast awsome

Excellent ‘local’ pub. Spent a bit time in there when staying close by. Very friendly staff and excellent Sunday lunch. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return.
Great place to sit and have a drink with friends. We didn't have food but it looked great and reasonably priced.
Had a great meal the mixed grill was fantastic value and the burgers were delicious
