My favourite Chinese takeaway, never been disappointed. The portions are a great size and the food is great quality. They have a good amount of vegetarian options and noticed they have a coeliac menu too (but I’ve not tried). Remember it is cash only.

We visited here for the first time yesterday. I haven't eaten food from a Chinese for years!! I try to make my own but it doesn't come close.
We had: coeliac spring rolls, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, seaweed and vermicelli with soy sauce. I didn't like the spring rolls unfortunately, but everything else was absolutely divine!!! The portions are huge. Yum yum!
The service was incredible, they gave us a free bottle of red wine!! How nice.
Definitely returning. Amazed and happy that, as a coeliac, I've had some Chinese food again.

This Chinese take away is the best around! Not just in Stretford but in all of south Manchester! We have tried so many and nothing come close. Not greasy, fresh, amazing portions, so many options, reasonable prices and hot, fast delivery every time! We will never go any where else now :)

I’ve been missing Chinese food since being diagnosed Coeliac 10 years ago.
I just found Hou Wei and it was delicious.
The food was fresh and full of flavour, cooked beautifully and they were so knowledgeable about gluten free too.
I will definitely be back, and I’ll definitely be spreading the news!
It’s hard to find a good Chinese in this area, however, this one might be the best. The food is very flavour full and decent portion sizes. The chips are not homemade but they still tasted nice

The food portions are generous and full of flavour. We ordered the beef fillet in Cantonese sauce, the chicken sweet and sour and chefs special roast duck. Each one had a good amount of meat and the fillet melted beautifully. We received 2 free items with our order; prawn crackers and 4 profiteroles. Will definitely order again.
I gave up ordering Chinese food locally some time ago as it was all so mediocre or bad, but since Hou Wei was recommended to me I order practically every week. Big portions, absolutely bursting with flavour and quick delivery every single time. Their salt and pepper king prawn in particular is sensational.
Hou Wei is my go-to Chinese. The portion sizes are generous, the meat always tastes fresh and it's so tasty, not too salty either.
