Nice meal after visiting Ickworth House today. Had booked, although possibly not needed during the week but wanted to be sure. Opted for main courses and deserts, so I had very tasty chicken supreme and the wife had shoulder of lamb. Both nice and decent sized platefuls. Decided to share a desert of Belgian waffle with maple syrup and ice cream. All washed down with a glass of cider and all for under £50, so that's good value for money as well!

Do not hesitate to come here. We had a table for 5, starters, main and pudding for all and every dish got a 5* rating. Service was prompt and friendly, fantastic atmosphere excellent value for money. Absolutely will return.

I cannot remember the last time I had a meal this nice. My and partner ordered the belly pork and mac&cheese. The belly pork was the most tender piece of pork I have ever eaten whilst having lovely crispy crackling. The mash was lovely, a little lumpy for my taste but nonetheless marvellous. The creamed cabbage is the best I’ve ever had and stole the spotlight for me it was absolutely beautiful The Mac and cheese was full of flavour and was easily the best I’ve ever tried

Very polite and friendly staff. Food was delicious. I had the lamb and my partner had the roast beef with an extra order of cauliflower cheese. Puds were good too. Reasonably priced.

There was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were not rushed at all. Everything was clean and fresh looking, including the toilets. The menu was ok, with good options. We enjoyed what we had. The portions were reasonably sized and everything tasted good, including the pudding's. We would go there again.

A nice little pub with great service. Staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a nice classic feel. Open and well lit. The food was nice. Vegetables cooked well and not overdone. Decent pizza too

Super meal for my eldest son's birthday. Usually I don't have a pudding because in my experience they are usually a let down and not worth using up my calorie budget and the sugar rush or the guilt afterwards, but the Eton mess was more than worth all of the aforementioned. I won't even be making excuses on the scales next week. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the plate long enough for me to photograph. I'm putting the Hare on top of my list to see if they're open for Christmas Day this year.
