Nice cafe in a nice courtyard with interesting shops. Good choice of drinks, sandwiches etc, cakes. Two small gripes, first when you add soup to a sandwich (£2.45 for a rather small bowl on top of £6.95 for the sandwich) they take away the crisps, which isn't how it's described on the menu so that seems rather mean. When you're paying £9.40 for a sandwich and a cup of soup, a handful of crisps won't break the bank. Second, the acoustics of the place make it extremely loud when it's even a third full of people talking. It needs some soft furnishings, thick curtains etc to make the noise levels more bearable. However the sandwiches and soup were nice, the coffee was nice, the millionaire shortbread was nice. Because of the proximity to the NT house, parking is likely to be difficult to find at busy times.
Lovely little cafe in a quaint environment. Good coffee, only complaint would be that it took about 10 minutes to get me my cappuccino, which seems a bit of a long time to me!
Lovely little cafe! Catered for Gluten Free and Vegan, where the kitchen staff even came out to double check with us about allergens. Lunch was lovely! Lots of choice for sandwich and panini fillings. Would be absolutely perfect if they did some wedges/chips/sweet potato fries/hash browns with the lunch or as a side in case you’re feeling a bit hungrier!
Great place for cafe stops for cyclists too, with all cyclists getting 10% off!
A great little cafe with excellent selection of food and beverages. Venue clean and well looked after. Staff and service level without fault. The location is a little difficult to find because its a courtyard with a single pedestrian entrance and there is no set parking location/lot. But its well worth the effort to seek in out, you will not be diappointed. If you are visiting the National Trust location next door it is just a 50m walk. In my opinion the food is better. I am a NT supporter so if you want to go from good quality and service to great, take a short walk. Its beautiful in the spring and summer to sit outside.
Any cafe that sells delicious local ice-cream, in addition to an excellent cup of coffee, definitely gets my vote. Have to admit that the ice-cream was the first thing I noticed when we entered the courtyard:-)
Plenty of seating inside, which was all taken. As the sun was shining we sat outside to indulge in a spot of people watching .
This is an outstanding cafe to suit all. I first and foremost judge my cafes by the quality of their coffee. This one goes on the plus side of 5 star and not many get there. Often, nice cafes but mediocre-poor coffee let them down.. Not here. They even do a LARGE flat white which is unheard of (try asking for one at Costa Coffee, Bear and Neros, no chance) and the only one I have ever come across......outstanding. Recently even started to open on their 'Closed' day of Mondays, so 7 days. Wonderful breakfasts, lunches. afternoon teas and just coffee/tea cake, toasted tea-cakes etc.
Like most cyclists, we become very aware of where we can stop-off for a quick refresher. Here hits the high spot. Outside at this time of year surrounded by the smell of borders full of Lavender certainly gets your mind away from politicians and Brexit. The routes/lanes are a delight in every direction.
Set in a stunning courtyard of small retailers which are cute, quirky and worth a good browse.
Definitely worth a visit next door to Sudbury Hall so it is easy to spend a pleasant half day all within a couple of hundred yards.
My group even had their Xmas lunch gathering at a specially prepared long table at the end of the cafe. Great fresh food supplied very quickly too.
Wonderfully attentive staff even give cyclists a small discount. Well, we do attend 52 weeks a year you know.
I came here a few months ago for my hen do lunch. Food was incredible and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nice place surrounded by other little shops too.
Nice friendly helpful staff. We ate outside enjoying the calm atmosphere.
A fabulous little cafe with a wide ranging menu. We only had drinks and a teacake but it was lovely. The full breakfasts looked amazing as do the selection of cakes. We will be returning!
I love Sweet Little - Great coffee and a good range of tasty food and cake options. They are cyclist friendly too
