Review The Star Inn - Sulgrave

A breathe of fresh air. This place is tucked away in a really idyllic location, we stayed here as it was 10 minutes away from a wedding we were attending. The rooms were really clean and well presented with plenty of quilts, pillows etc. We stayed in the triple room which was tucked away towards the top end of the house. Breakfast was continental so use your usual toast, jams and coffee etc. Overall a solid 4/5. The owner is also very nice and friendly!

Great little pub. The garden is large. The pub is proper traditional which is to my taste. Great beer. The landlord even made sure we were fed just as they were closing the kitchen. All the staff we met were really friendly. Can't wait to visit again, especially as they have car meets here. See you soon.

Fantastic day out in the local area followed by the best pub lunch, large portions reasonably priced, the ploughman's platter was massive and the roasts were very tasty. Great staff and host.

we had a wonderful meal here the night before our wedding in Crockwell. The team couldn't do enough for us and was so well organised. It's a lovely country pub with a friendly vibe. The food was lovely and great comments all round from our 27 guests. Thanks 5 stars!

Good place to stay. The room and the shower was nice. The breakfast was okay (there was no meat or eggs, but it may have been possible to request them, I didn't ask). The wifi in my room was sadly non existent.

Went for a family meal, a blend of 4 families with ages from 70 to 7 months. It was the perfect venue, a room to ourselves so we didn't have to worry about annoying other diners. Lovely meal. Our chaotic family were expertly handled by relaxed and friendly landlord and landlady. The whole day was great, and the marquee space with games gave the older children space too. Will be my first choice again for a gathering and even a quiet meal for two.

We visited The star Inn while staying nearby for MotoGP. The pub was great with plenty of space and also a big garden. Great choice of beer (most improtantly), good food and excellent friendly service. The waitress actually had a genunie smile and looked like she was enjoying her job, which seems to be a rarity now.
