I have a massive problem with this place! The food is that good that I am going 3 times a week as I can't not go on a Sunday for their dinners as they are absolutely amazing and this week I got to sample the hot beef sarnie with chips and home made gravy with amazing chips. I went again today and tried something different and had the gammon steak with chips and fried eggs and everything was done to perfection and I got to dip my chips in a double egg. I took my great nieces and they ate free. The staff are amazing the food is second to none and I can't recommend this place enough!!!

Called in with the wife on a cool September afternoon for a late lunch / early tea. I ordered s pint of Ruddles Best and the wife a half of lager which were very nice. Decided to eat off the light bite menu and both ordered ham broth with crusty roll to start and mince and dumplings. Great quality and value for money. The desert was orange sponge and custard but after a few more drinks we were still feeling full so didn't order. Next time we'll spend more time there and allow a break between main and sweet. Great service also and this place deserves to do well.

A great pub that has friendly staff and serves great food. The food served is lovely and a lot tastier and better for value than some of the other pubs around the sea front. They have a variety of specials that change and always offer something new. The base menu also has a good choice and everything is always fresh and tasty!

I didn't eat as I'm not a fan of roast dinners but the rest of our party did 6 adults and two kids. It as busy so I'd recommend booking for larger groups but the staff were managing to seat smaller groups without reservations (I think). The food although not my cup of tea looked great and there was a good selection of veg and meat to choose from with gluten free options for my coeliac wife and all the staff seemed very clued up especially the difference between being gf and a coeliac. The staff were all very pleasant and polite and friendly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals we didn't have dessert as everyone was full but I'm sure they will be of a similar standard. Overall an excellent experience and we will definitely be back.

Best Sunday carvery anywhere. Great for small or large groups, warm welcome and top-notch Sunday scran. Best to book as walk-ins are often disappointed.

We were on a break at Roker beach and we walked through Roker park, I asked a local dog Walker to recommend a local pub and she directed us to the Cliff. Food was still available so we ordered a meal and we had a couple of beers. We didn’t wait long to be served, the food was lovely and I tried the craft beers too. We’re planning another break to Roker and I’m sure that we will re visit the Cliff.

A good watering hole serving a good range of beverages and a decent selection of food. Friendly staff. Nice decor, plenty of seats, and an outdoor patio area for when the weather is good. Parking is on the adjacent streets as the pub does not have a carpark. A short walk from Roker Park and the sea front.
