Often pop in on a Thursday, Colin always has fish and chips, I get Scampi and chips, beautiful really lovely and tasty and we'll presented, service always really great all the staff are lovely and pleasent
Wednesday is roast dinner 🍽️ day 😋 it's great to have a change of menu. Mind you the fish and chips are great as well!!!

This was my second time here, having first been taken here about 4 years ago when visiting my friend in Sunderland.
On this recent occasion I took my youngest daughter with me on a 5 day road trip to the north east and stayed at a nice Airbnb in Roker.
Angels fish and chips are excellent quality and value for money! Here in the south east you will pay double the price!
I can recommend Angels for an excellent meal of fish and chips and friendly staff too.

My fish was abit overcooked, it’s abit dry but the batter was very crispy. Probably I was the unlucky one 😂 Hope they will serve me a perfectly cooked fish next time 😁Staffs were very nice and helpful!

Absolutely amazing restaurant .. staff were amazing friendly and polite 😍fresh and hot fish and chips bread butter ( lurpak ) batter peas and many extras and a cuppa reasonably priced ... hidden gem in Sunderland music from the jukebox made my mother's visit ..definitely will be returning Thankyou
My daughter and myself often go to Angels when we visit Sunderland good price very good service and friendly staff, very nice meals.
I've tried many Fish and Chip shops across Sunderland and the surrounding area and in my humble opinion, Angels is the BEST. The taste is on another level.
