Very nice bar! Lots of tasty drinks and friendly staff.
Had a Halloween shindig today and they gave free shots to everyone in costume so that was very fun intro to them.
Chips were very good, couldn't see much ,if any, on their gluten free options, so eat cautiously, but that's not out of the ordinary for a small venue like this.
Will go again!

I meet here with an organised group every once a month. It's always a welcoming atmosphere, staff are really friendly and accommodating. The food is god tier 🤌

The only geek bar in Sunderland. Great cocktails with excellent 2-for-1 deals, really nice food, and the opportunity to play some retro console games. Cosy without being tiny, great value for money, and there's often gaming-related content on the big TV. The music rocks, too.

Superb bar with great staff that is tailored to fill a gap in the market while remaining welcoming to passers-by.
The cocktails are dangerously nice, and the food is amazing too with fast service. The staff from the manager down are all excellent, friendly and go above and beyond with their service.
AFK has quickly become my favourite bar in Sunderland, and is a real hidden gem. I was tempted to give it a two-star review to keep it that way 😆

Lush little bar, super friendly staff! We have been in a few times but tried the chicken wings last night and they are hands down the best wings about town! Even if I did accidently rub the spicy buffalo sauce in my eye! 2 for 1 cocktails before 9 that are made and brought to your table.

Fair prices, delicious food!
Only been here twice so far but both times it was nice and quiet, which is perfect since I have anxiety and don't do well in crowds
I wanted a pizza roll like I got the first time, but it wasn't on the new menu so opted for a double sausage burger with bacon
Cant speak for the drinks since I've never tried alcohol before but the menu makes them sound nice at least.

Love this place. The sega consoles are cool And the eSports on the TV is a good touch. Great food and amazing cocktails, and the prices are just as good!
#1 spot for date nights and/or chilling with friends. Excited to bring my daughter here for food and games some time soon!

A great new addition to the city centre. Half price cocktails before 9 make it such a cheap night out as well and with the consoles to play on for free it gives a brand new experience to the town.
