Really enjoyed our first meal here. Lovely Salmon Tikka, great mustard chicken and great sides. Loved the chocolate orange squares we got with the bill. Old school service. 5 stars
The best restaurant in Surbiton. I have eaten Biryani from all the restaurants around, but joy indian cuisine's Biryani is remarkable.
I think it is the largest and most beautiful restaurant in the Surbiton.
I'm a bit surprised at some of the reviews. I can only comment on my own experience. Food and service were excellent. My friend had chicken tikka masala, and I had lamb pasanda. Certainly on the two occasions I have been, the food has been excellent. I should add however, that I have always asked them to prepare my food ‘asian’ style rather than anglicized as restaurant many restaurants do.

This is what I would consider a very english local indian restaurant. Food is good, portions are big and it's inexpensive. The service is good and attentive. I would encourage to book for evenings/weekends as it gets busy.

Went last night and the food was amazing. The best sag paneer I've ever had and the lemon rice was fantastic. We've been living in Surbiton for two years and this was our first visit - we're gutted we haven't gone sooner. Now that we've found it we'll be back often!
Just had a beautiful family takeaway. First visit for us. Lemon rice with cashews absolutely delicious. We had all vegetarian dishes and everyone of the dishes had individual flavours.one of the best Indian takeaways I've had for a very long time. Also the people in there are so lovely and friendly.

Very tasty food. We really like Joy's Chikhen biriyani. Best indian restaurant in Surbiton. Very friendly staff and very clean area. Highly recommend joy restaurant .
