A little gem of a place to visit!
Recommended by a friend and didn't know what to expect..its soooo nice!
You can do a 2 mile circular walk then back for a drink and cake or ice cream off the barge.
The ducks will let you feed them by hand they are so friendly!
The car park is small...and you have to pay for it...get there early to get a space!
Had a nice meal on Sunny Sunday afternoon.
Sat outdoors, all nice food
Had to wait a while but it was busy so had to be expected and qas well worth the wait.
Lovely place on the canal, been many times and found it very chilled.
Disappointed this morning after walking 3 miles there, thought I'd have a beer before walking home, to be told 20-25 minute wait for a drink lol
It was not busy so unsure why the wait, I decided not to bother 🙂
Lovely location on the water's edge. Wireless payment at carpark slow, and £2.50 for 4 hours
Excellent service. Couldn't fault it!
Food well presented and good value.
Wonderful place to sit, chill, watch the boats and enjoy the food.
(Pic is the avocado on chunky sourdough with egg and tomato salsa.)
Beautiful place, clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend 👌
Friendly place for a brew and breakfast. I didn’t eat, mind, already had breakfast.
Gravel car park so watch out on motorbikes. Parking at meter. Ducks need feeding!
It’s brilliant that they allow dogs in all parts of the restaurant and there is also plenty of space to sit outside. Service is relatively slow and production of food even slower. However, it is worth the wait. I did ask for toast after my breakfast had been served. I was told that I would be put at the bottom of the queue for it after everybody else’s breakfasts had been cooked. A little bizarre when any of the staff would have been quite able to put a few pieces of bread in a toaster, it would not have acquired a chef. However, overall we enjoy visiting the café and we will return.
Met for lunch today with family and i had the moules marinière with triple cooked chips and white crusty bread. Absolutely delicious! Better than some restaurants! Also had a delicious ice cold smoothie. We all enjoyed our meals and the staff were lovely. Treated ourselves to delicious ice cream from the boat and had a wander through the wood to Bosworth. Car park takes contactless cards so do not bother with the paybyphone it's awful! We shall be back for more food and walks, thank you!
It was 🍂 Autumnal, beautiful calm views as we sat outside in the dipping sun and were served our tea and coffee so quickly. Pleasant looking staff, greeted at cafe entrance for your order to be taken and a seat table noted. 1st ever visit so not sure if its policy or not. Sadly the parking charge which has risen to £2.50 and apparently this is to due with the canal/boat @area/charges. I don't have a clue. I had hot tea by a waterway of ducks and moorhens, on a dry autumnal day😊
Lovely walk along the canal, everyone enjoying themselves. Even dogs had a good time. Not sure what the car park charges are as we walked from the other end. Four stars for food as we shared chips with melted cheese, not really a cormet dish. Young servers are doing a good job at the tables. Nice people to chat with. I drank an IPA nice and refreshing just under a fiver(£5) so not Wetherspoons prices. The sun was out what more would you want next to the canal side. Not far from the Bosworth battle centre. King Richard III's death changed the course of English history. KRIII was slain nearer to Daddlington along the canal a mile or so away, you can walk by the canal to his death place. I have a marker on Google Maps exact spot.
A very pleasant place to have a relaxed coffee and chat with a friend
The service was great!
Lots of people around and a few passing boats and lots of🦆 ducks and a few baby ducks 🦆 as well .. we sat outside as it was a lovely day. A very pleasant place
Such a great find in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff all following covid rules. Made great recommendations for breakfast and the smoked salmon muffin was amazing! So tasty.
Such a wonderful chilled environment and must be popular by 10.30 had lots of people coming to eat and drink.
A definite for all people and families and on a sunny day you could sit there all day and watch the ducks go by.
A great place for a casual post-walk lunch. Lovely surroundings and facilities. The food and friendly service were excellent
Cozy restaurant inside, with lovely big window views overlooking the warf. Sip you coffee while watching the rain fall and ducks swim by. Food was also delicious, by the way.
