Overall, a disappointing experience, and I'm embarrassed to have paid $90 to play here.
First, the starter gave us 3 requests: stay hydrated, maintain pace of play, and take care of the course. That's hard to do when there are no water coolers, the cart can only be used on some holes and even then not for the final 100+yds, and there is no divot mix on the par 3s. Makes it tough to handle those 3 requests.
90+ degrees, and no water coolers on the course. You can buy water at the turn or from two locations where the cart girl parks. For the money, it's ridiculous to not include even water coolers.
Pace of play was about 40 minutes slow. Definitely need more enforcement on that, but a major factor was the ridiculous cart path rules.
I guess the course conditions are still "in the works" from a couple years back? At any rate, the greens were still showing aeration marks which made putting unpredictable. Many fairways and tee boxes are in VERY rough shape, and a lot of the cart paths are "makeshift" and extremely bumpy, driving over huge roots and rocks. I never waste my time to write reviews but hole after hole it eventually got to the tipping point and I took a few photos and decided I would write a review. Trust me, there were many more examples of as bad or worse conditions than those I took pictures of.
For $50/60 with cart, this would be excusable, and I wouldn't have spent my time writing this review. But for $90!? For that rate, at a "national" course, the expectation is near perfection. This is totally unacceptable and we won't be returning. Several other nearby cheaper courses in pristine condition with really great layouts.

Absolutely love this place. I wish it was a little closer to nh. Great deals, great course with range that is included in your greens fees

Fun golf course that's in pretty good shape right now, but pace of play is an issue as always.
Regarding the course:
- The conditions were quite good
-- They made an impressive bounce back after losing most of the course in previous years.
-- Greens were recently sanded when I played but it's clear they'll be amazing once that settles in.
- Borderline unwalkable layout, which is fine. Large walks between several holes (2-3, 3 to back tee of 4, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18) and very hilly.
Regarding pace of play:
- It's been a 5+ hour round every time I've played here
- Saturday I had a 4:10PM tee time and made the turn at 7:00 . This wasn't too shocking, I expect a 5 hour round at Blackstone. However, it was late afternoon so I was expecting to move more quickly.
- The carts have GPS and they can easily see which groups are behind, they clearly just don't care enough to do anything about it.

$95 dollar green fees for toasted fairways, burnt greens, unkempt grass all over, rocks in bunkers, a cart with busted struts, cart paths that rival 3rd worid country roads and if it's a hot day, bring your own water. You will be hard pressed to find any on the course. Played here years back and none of this was the case. Disappointed to see it has fallen this far out of care.

If you want to play 9 holes in 3 hours this is your place. Brutal pace with no ranger enforcement. Decent course conditions, certainly overpriced.

I just played Blackstone for the first time and fell in love. It was a quintessential New England course. The views were amazing and the course was in terrific shape for this time of year. Great leaf management - fairways and greens were worth the trip from Boston!

If I had the pasta fagioli before my round, I would have broken the course record.

Course is in awful condition. Don’t know what happened but don’t plan on any decent play here. Place has gone down hill lately. Clearly they do not care about keeping up the condition of the course. Some fairways were good, otherwise cart paths are an off road experience, dead grass everywhere and greens are like carpets from the 70’s.
