Review Pedlars Hall Cafe - Swaffham

Mad Andy
I have recently rediscovered this fine establishment. Absolutely huge and tasty breakfast meals. The double bubble breakfast is huge, I have failed to finish the plate full of food 5 times, I gave up, and now buy a smaller version. Great value, endless coffee refills. The food here has never let me down. If you like great tasting food at a good price, you should definitely visit. Pedlars cafe have various different specials all week. My favourite is the roast dinner, roast potatoes with a choice of meats, plenty of vegetables, homemade gravy and endless coffee if desired. There's always a pudding on offer all included in the price. ( around £10, at the time of writing this Oct 2022)

Went in here on the off chance, as the three of us were starving, and looking for an all day breakfast. They were advertised here, all day full, and all day "double bubble", whatever that meant. So we went purely because it said, "free re fills". So we sat down and ordered from the usual lovely friendly staff you get in these places, three Double Bubble. While waiting, we spoke of the English, full breakfast. How back in the day, there was that sliver of smoked Haddock, a spoonful of Kedgerie, Black Pudding, some even served chips. None of those were listed on the menu, for our Double Bubble. Well the guy turned up with a HUGE plate, full of yummy stuff. Oh, we said, looks like we have to share, but no, he then came out with another, and another. Just look at my pictures. Fantastic, we were all well chuffed, as we were starving. The whole experience, was fantastic, and all for £7.90. ...Bubble and squeak, Black Pudding, what else can you see?. I am going on a bit, so read the other reviews, and do go try it out. Super place, super meals, super staff.

Amazing full English 😮‍💨. Waited about 30 mins but the owner let us know the wait time before we sat down. Ran out of proper sausages as you can see from the pictures, however the food was well worth the wait. Will eat there again if we find ourselves driving through swaffham once more

Great hospitality and decent food 👍🏻 A slick looking Shoreditch cafe this is not, but you would struggle to find a more genuine, authentic and friendly service (and with such reasonable prices) than here. We had a small breakfast each (I swapped toast for fried bread) and this included tea or coffee - with free refills. We will definitely visit again.

Fist visit here today, what a fab place, food was lovely, hubby was happy as he had a mug for his tea, service was excellent, the nice man serving said we could have a refill which we did & he put another t-bag in the pot. Look forward to going back & trying the breakfasts as they looked lovely 😍

Having not been back to Swaffham since the early 80’s it was great to find such a fantastic place to eat. Friendly staff and amazing food. Can’t recommend coming here enough.

Great "proper" cafe. Plenty of seating. Great very well priced menu. Always popular but plenty of seating on an array of tables. Staff are lovely and service good. It's far from a 5 star eatery but I must say its bang on as an old school cafe. I had the vegetarian option and it was excellent

Came in with with my partner and son. My sons chocolate milkshake had to be made three times as the first two was made with hot chocolate powder. I returned both lattes as they were awful asked for coffees and they were undrinkable. We had a cooked breakfast and it wasn’t worth the money.

went there today with my son I am a pensioner and we ordered the same meal £6.90 and £4.90 for OAP's to my surprise my meal was half the size when I questioned it and said there menu was very misleading they said it's because it's £2 cheaper I was expecting the same size meal and the reason it was cheaper was because I am an OAP not the case I will not be going back

The most friendly of welcomes when we first visited. Unbelievable value without compromising the quality. We have revisited a number of times and diverted here for lunch after shopping in other towns.

I've been to a few Café s in my life time but The Pedlars Hall Cafe owned by Mrs Lawson and daughter tops them all. The Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the place has a lovely warm atmosphere about it. The food is so good and made fresh to order. There is a specials board where you can chose from a variety of good old English main meals, and a choice of Traditional puddings to follow and the price includes a complementary Tea or their famous milky coffee for an extremely reaonable price of £6.90 or children £3.95. I definitely recommend this delightful family run Cafe and visit frequently S A Meijer
