The Bull Beefeater

First time at The Bull ,our party of 4 were shown to our table ,Unfortunately right next to the service area ,other tablets were available, on looking around .should really had asked if we could have been moved ( we had booked) as my partner had to go outside as he got very hot from the cooking , luckily he had finished his meal, a lovely steak .My brother and I both had Salmon which was lovely and salad ,thankfully the sauce that came with it we both tried before putting on fish,it was soooo hot it would have killed the taste of the salmon!! Also Unfortunately the drink I ordered apparently they don't sell anymore, Gordon's pink gin ,substitute presented wasn't anything like it,so had a diet coke. Very pleasant lady serving us,wish I'd got her name. Would I go back yes it was a nice enough place,but don't live in the area, we were visiting a friend of my Brother's .

GLUTEN FREE/COELIAC CUSTOMER VERY HAPPY 10/10 FOOD & SERVICE We told them on arrival that I was gluten free and they gave me a separate menu consisting of about 12 meals which were gluten free and also a burger WITH a gluten free bun!! They also had starters and puddings. We arrived to the allergen book already on the table waiting for us to double check! When they served my food, they brought mine first and made sure they were not holding any other plates, also gave me new cutlery which was ‘allergy cutlery’ and a napkin on a plate to reduce any risks!! My burger was SO nice and even better I could enjoy it in a bun, which didn’t flake apart!! My pudding was a popcorn sundae which was lovely! Overall an amazing experience for a Coeliac and would highly recommend !! 😀

My wife and me had a great evening the staff were very helpful and efficient. The food was very nice and cooked perfectly. My only criticism is the service time was abit slow and that was because the waitress was so rushed off her feet, it was not her fault it was so busy and maybe needed another member of staff. She did the best anyone could do. Overall it was very good, thank you.🙂

OUTSTANDING BEEFEATER We were pleased that this Beefeater was along our journey and even more happy we decided to stop (especially given recent poor experiences at another Beefeater) From the moment we parked and entered, the atmosphere felt lovely, the place was bright with the usual Beefeater decor. The place was rather busy, which was good to see. The staff were pleasant from the get go and seated us. We were lucky to be served by Sally, who was amazing, friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed the Surf & Turf Combo.. with a side of Mac & Cheese. The meal was so tasty and lovely, the Steak was cooked to perfection, medium/rare (it amazes me how many Chefs get this so wrong) Ben in the kitchen, thank you.. everything was so so so GOOD. On the table we also had Breaded Mushrooms, Beef Lasagna and then the Apple Betty.. An observation, the machine to input your car details shows you are able to park for 3 hours, but on the table the card says 4 hours... don't get caught out.. Overall... we totally loved everything, the atmosphere, the cleanliness (inc toilets), the food quality, presentation and taste as well as the staff.. This is certainly the best Beefeater we have been too and other restaurants in the chain could learn and improve from this.

A lovely little place and we enjoy visiting. Busy place too the staff are overworked and under appreciated but they always have a good smile and provide excellent service The menu has changed and the prices are now post covid so bit pricey and the portion sizes have gone down but they are tasty and nice Couple of times we had food mainly chips which were cold hence the 4 star
