Absolutely stunning meal, one of the best, if not THE best meals I've had! Never had pork cheeks before...would recommended!

‘Slice’ by name and slice by nature (well actually building!)…because that’s the first thing that strikes you as you stand in front of this little gem of a restaurant hidden away in Sketty, Swansea.  Seating just 16 people, this certainly is a place where I would advise to book before heading over there…you really don’t want to be disappointed!

Firstly, it’s Slice by name and by nature. The tiny wedge shaped restaurant in the Sketty suburb of Swansea sits a mere 16 people. Secondly, co-chef patron Adam Bannister has been the Wales champion on Great British menu for the last two years with his hearty yet refined cooking. Adam and co-chef patron Chris Harris take it in turns to have a week in the kitchen whilst the other runs front of house. On our visit, Adam was cooking whilst Chris was serving.

For me, Slice is the best restaurant in this part of Wales This was my third time at Slice and it was amazing as always. The tasting menu was incredible - the highlights were the cod with langoustines, barbequed beef and the chocolate marquise! The wine pairing and the service were excellent too - thank you so much! A small note: the dining room tends to get quite loud and it would really benefit from some acoustic panels.

A flawless diamond in the rough! Slice is so affordable with such imaginative and DELICIOUS dishes, with a cosy dining area, and the waitress so friendly and knowledgeable. I sometimes wish they could relocate to a larger premises, making the most of the beautiful views of Swansea, but I guess they would risk impacting on the quality of the food and service and of course the price. Every single morsel of food for my Mum and I's lunch yesterday was perfectly executed. 2 tasting menu's, a bottle of wine, coffee and petit fours came to just £166. A huge difference to being absolutely rinsed of nearly £400 at The Hand and flowers a few months back for way less food and way less quality. (Grrrrr. That still gripes me) Keep up the incredible work, Slice!! We.will.be.back!!

What a great experience! When you walk in you're warmly greeted by the two chefs who are also the owners. I went for the 3 course meal with 5 people. The staff are very friendly. So for the food. When you arrive there are two types of butter presented to you. And when you've ordered they will bring you freshly baked bread which smells amazing! It's a nice appetiser. For the amuse-bouche we were given Rabbit pasty with a cauliflower dish. They paired very well together. The cauliflower thing helped to fight the gamey taste of the rabbit. For starters I had the Scallops with chicken wings and texture of salsify. Scallops were Cooked beautifully, they weren't rubbery and tasted great. The chicken wing they gave helped to balance the seafood taste and was very soft. To complete the dish the salsify is needed to bring the different textures form the soft parts to the crunchy roasted ones. Amazing The main I had was the poussin and my goodness it was moist, juicy, tender and full of flavour! The barley and sauce were great with it. This was definitely the highlight For dessert the soufle was nicely risen, it was soft and sweet and just enough to satisfy. My only complaint is that I wish I had more ice cream. Overall a great dining experience that I would love to come visit for different menus. Other food that I got to try was the braised cheek and filet steak which were all nice and tender.

Slice is like a proper bistro - nothing pretentious with all the emphasis on the (amazing) food. Adam was great at front of house - as he’s also responsible for the food he was enthusiastic and gave great explanations about the food. It was a memorable night and we’ll be back soon. Price for the tasting menu was exceptional value - on a par with Michelin places we have eaten at for half the price. For the first time in ages I didn’t take pictures as I was too. Busy enjoying the meal - highly recommended 🤩

6 course tasting menu was a proper meal. Plenty to eat but full of class. Brilliant flavours. Star dishes were beef main and rice pudding souffle.

Great experience. Lovely food. Taster menu with wine pairing was fantastic, wines were very well suited to each course. Really complimented the dish. Definitely recommended. Friendly personal service. Forgot to mention the bread! Little individual loafs (see pics) baked fresh with 2 gorgeous butter options. Has the be the best bread I've ever had

Can you say that you love food if you haven't eaten at Slice? Fantastic as always. There is no better place to eat in Swansea, maybe even Wales! Original Review from 2015: Exceptional unique dining. Every visit brings something new, with fantastic takes on classic dishes and very personal service. Less than 20 covers so booking is a must!

Love this place. The guys who run it are friendly and accommodating and obviously the food is spectacular. It feels really special without being pretentious. I just wish we had more opportunities to go there!
