Just had my 60th birthday meal here always go here for Sunday lunch but thought would try it for a weekday pub meal And wow fantastic meals and service highly recommend

Great, friendly service and a wonderful vegan menu with lots of choices. The food is tasty, well presented and the portion sizes are good.

Friendly atmosphere in this local pub. It was very quiet when we called in early on a Sunday evening. Close to a number of restaurants and other bars on Brynymor Road and St Helens Road . Good range of draft beers and ciders at reasonable prices. Small seating area outside, with large single room bar inside.

We were a group of 9 persons here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. I ordered the classic fish ‘n’ chips and they were probably one of the better (if not best) ones I’ve had by a far margin. The fish was fresh, succulent and moist, encrusted with a light beer batter. My friend had the buttermilk chicken burger which was a tad dry and perhaps a bit overfries. Overall it is a lovely, chill place to grab a bite and a couple of pints.

A great pub with good food and great staff. Out of the main town centre it's a little quieter but they had live music on and they were great. Of you want a proper pub rather than plastic version, pop in....👍👍👍

Pub lunch with friends Reserved table online this morning for lunch Food was very delicious piping hot and so quick to arrive. Staff very helpful Definitely will be a return visitor

Nice food, decent service, slightly on the expensive side. I would add a photo of the food but we demolished it instantly so here’s one of the leftovers 😃 if you are peckish for standard pub grub this is probably the best in the area.

Brilliant staff and management and the quality of the Sunday dinner was tip top tommy. See u next week and please thank the shef for my extra beef. That my friends was the to the top of my list and I eat out loads. Thank you and see you next weekend x

We went there for Sunday Dinner. The whole experience was amazing. The meat and all the side dishes came out at the same time and not only were they perfectly cooked but they were nice and hot. After the meal, I had a cappuccino and again was perfect and hot. Di (the chef) is fantastic.
