A few days ago, walking around the area, The Barn at Friends Barn caught my attention.
Today being my partner’s birthday, it was the perfect day to treat him and discover the hidden treasure that this place is, and just a few minutes away from home.
We just had excellent lattes with 2 delicious cakes, mine was a raspberry and quince one, their vegan option today, it was a real delight.
We couldn't resist leaving the place without try one of their salty options, then we enjoyed another excellent lattes & a shared cheese bun accompanied by a homemade onion & apple chutney that gave it a very special touch.
All this in a room surrounded by works of painting art, artisan products and in a family, cozy, quiet and unbeatable atmosphere.
It’s definitely a hidden treasure.

Such a lovely, warm welcome from the owners, delicious cake and a gorgeously renovated building.
We will definitely be visiting again soon, and regularly.

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want to tell anyone how good it is so I can save it for myself! The barn is gorgeous, the ambience was lovely and the coffee and cake were amazing! I took my 2 little girls with me (6&1) and the staff were so helpful with a high chair and pencils and paper for colouring. The toilet was lovely! I will definitely be back 😊
Love it here. Wonderful service, and the cakes are delicious. My children love coming too, they love all the paintings and are given some pencils and paper to create their own. Thank you
I only gave it 5 because 10 stars aren't available! The venue is stunning, the coffee and tea was delicious and the carrot cake was heavenly, we even got colouring in for my 4 year old - which nan enjoyed more than he did haha. We can not wait until we go back again

What a gem of a place! Just perfect for a cuppa on a rainy day. Parking just a wee bit down the road from the building but caused no problems. Didn't eat this time but will be back to try some of the yummy looking cakes on display!

Paintings very good,to view, you can park the other side of the house recommend a visit if you are in the area.
