This super friendly locally run cafe is so much nicer than those predictable big chains.
We looked at the near perfect reviews - and of course, read the single bad review first. It's only criticism seemed to be that they let in dogs. Since we were out of towners killing time before dropping our dog off for surgery, that was actually the selling point.
What we got was an absolutely delicious breakfast with generous portions and friendly chat from the owners. A totally enjoyable experience all round. Would recommend.

Love this superb little cafe. Great mostly cat-themed artwork around the walls, great food and drink, no actual cats (which is a very good thing for me). Marcus, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. Great community work, suspended coffee scheme.
We had a lovely breakfast here this morning. So glad they are open again - Ireally missed this place during lockdown.

With a severe lack of dog friendly cafes in Swindon, Baristocats was a breath of fresh air when it opened and we have been coming here almost every day (with a dog or two) ever since. The owners have been welcoming and friendly and they have created a relaxed and easy going atmosphere. With fantastic, hand picked coffee and a selection of fresh cakes and sandwiches, they really do earn the custom. Thanks guys.
