First of all the staff are so kind, we had a little wobble but they handled it so professionally and perfectly.
Next up, the food was stunning. I had a chef's platter, squid and garlic mushrooms for starters and all of them were so tasty. My favourite of the three was the chefs board, which had this crispy and delicious chicken.
For mains we had two plates of fish and I had the pork belly. I tried a bit of the fish and they tasted great. And my dish was amazing. The rice was well seasoned and had plenty of tasty veg, and the pork belly was crispy and delicious.
For dessert, we had two lemon and blueberry cheesecakes, which once again just were perfect. I was definitely full after this meal. And all the prices were extremely fair.
Finally, the place looks beautiful, and just felt very homely. I will definitely be coming here again with my partner next time, and I can't wait to show him this incredible place!

August visit - Food was served very quickly. King prawns starter was very good but only 3 prawns. The wild boar burger was cooked very well, moist and moreish. The vegetarian tart was delicious, a wonderful combination of fresh seasonal vegetables.
Only quibble - it was very warm inside. The side door should have been open and/or portable air conditioning units would have helped make the atmosphere more bearable.
October visit
Wonderful Sunday dinner.
Starters - Pea and prawn risotto was so good, very well cooked and full of flavour. The creamy mushrooms on ciabatta has been a favourite for ages and did not disappoint this time either.
Main - Veggie Wellington was deep-filled with mushrooms and a gorgeous gravy like sauce, so it was more like a pie than a traditional Wellington but was absolutely gorgeous! Roast potatoes were more like new potatoes deep fried, rather than roasties. The steak and ale pie was described as delicious.
Service was very good and quick.

Plenty of parking, friendly staff, didn't seem to busy, though we had booked a table.
Everything was spot on except the delivery of the food, which was slow..
It would have been nice to be informed if there was a delay, but nothing was said, pity as everything else was really good, the food was hot & tasty.
We had to skip desert...😟
Our Chairs had seen better days too 🤔

Came here for breakfast. Friendly service. Food was nice. We had a fab very private dining area. Menu stated 2 sausages in the full english. When we mentioned this we were informed the chief hadn't seen the recent menu update which meant no black pudding but an extra sausage. They quickly rectified this. My daughter came one week later for Sunday lunch. The menu prices didn't match the bill

I have visited here on several occasions with friends and have always received excellent service, on my recent visit the waitress was very attentive but not intrusive, giving us time to look at the menus although we were chatting a lot ! Food is great. I had lasagna at my last visit and can highly recommend it. One of my party even returned again with family a few days later. The building itself is also lovely . We'll worth a visit!

Every time I come to the cold harbour I have had great food and service! All the staff are really friendly and helpful! I would recommend the cajun chicken burger and sticky toffee pudding! Food and drinks are quite expensive for certain things but the quality makes up for it. I have to mention a few of the staff the lovely Courtney, Lauren, Sophie and Michelle make the place what it is and their level of service and commitment to the bar and customers is awesome! Will defo be back again!

Food is consistently good. Sometimes, they seem a little short staffed, but those on duty are good. Signature burger is very tasty.

Really good choice on the menu
and a specials board
Had an excellent sharing starter and generous mains not at all like the normal stuff from chain restaurants
Great service by all and thank you Cameron for looking after us and good luck with the driving lessons!

Had an amazing meal tonight at The Cold Harbour - the slow cooked venison shin was absolutely incredible - melt in the mouth and the beer gravy was rich and delicious. Perfectly paired with the acidity of the crispy onions and the creaminess of the of pomme pureé (and a large sauvingnion blanc to wash it down 😉). Friendly and efficient service and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Highly reccomend!

First time I've been in the Cold Harbour for well over a decade, and was really pleased. Lovely food, great service, not a bad price. I'll be back soon!

Fabulous restaurant/pub with amazing food and service! Our waitress Michelle was lovely and her recommendations were spot on. I suggest making a reservation and always asking about the specials :)

Absolutely lovely food! The Italian platter was lush and I could have eaten a whole bowl of their prosseco sorbet! My 2 year old daughter really enjoyed her meal too.....especially when a little mix up in the kitchen resulted in her getting an adult sizes Strawberry sundae instead of a kids one, she looked like the cat that got the cream or should I say ice cream!
Must be our 3rd visit and we will definitely be back again soon (there are lots on the new menu to try).

Been to this place many times before and never had any problem with their service so I thought I'd go to celebrate my 20th birthday with my family.... Not only were the staff rude (even the manager), the food was rubbish & it ruined my birthday all together. My mum moaned about this and they gave us money off of our food bill but this still doesn't excuse the rudeness of staff and the fact I had to ask for ketchup 5 times. This was not the only problems we had either! I went to this place on a Sunday at 7pm... Was barely busy so I am struggling to find a reason why the service was so bad! Will not be returning to this place again after tonight!

Nice to see that the cold harbour is getting back to being a great place to go for food. On this visit I found the staff friendly and service was good from the person that was serving us but I did notice that there was another waitress there that was ignoring customers. The food was nicely prepared and I enjoyed my meal which was sea bass on baby potatoes with a hollandaise sauce which was lovely and was refreshing to have a good selection of food to eat. Such a nice change from the run of the mill Hungry horse or carvery type meals. It still has a way to go to be as good as it was, but that will not stop me from returning. I did cringe at one thing..you need to pay attention to your housework.all the tables around us were set and all of them had grubby glasses.

We went for New Years Eve meal. The food was good. The food came out a bit quick so felt rushed especially on New Years Eve. Only a small glass of Pressco and not a full glass either. Asked for water at the table but it never arrived. As we booked online we were not advised that we had to pre-book our meals, it was only by chance I popped in that I found this out prior to our meal.
