Enjoyed a catch-up and lunch on Sunday. An interesting quirky place with roast lunches and other options. Recommended.
I would come for just the atmosphere and that Badger is my favourite brewery. Lovely views of the canal and a non cliché canal barge decor. It was a bit of faff to order as it wouldn't let us go through the webpage via QR code and then the card machine was playing up, but the staff was friendly. Food was great. Lots of flavour in the pork terrene and the fried chicken burger. Chips were cooked perfectly but portion size could have been a bit bigger. The ndja chicken lacked any spice and could have done with more ndja, however it was cooked perfectly being tender and juicy with a crispy skin.
It is a fascinating place in any weather in any season and at any time of the day. It is amazing to sit outside enjoying the canal or be indoors taking pleasure of marvellous interiors and a Victorian library.
