Big pub, offering and good selection of food and drinks. They sell Aspall cider, which is always a welcome bonus. Big car park at the front, with fair size childrens play park. Staff were friendly and attentive. Toilets clean. Spent a lovely afternoon/evening in here with friends and family. My wife and had the sharing platter, which was lovely and a good size. Neither of us were sure about the chicken wings though. Wasn't keen on the taste or look of them..
29/7/2023 Update : Had this cracking Scotch egg, freshly cooked, very tasty, only let down by the bed of brown sauce it was sat on, please consider replacing it with a lovely bit of chutney, say red onion chutney or similar. 🤔🙂

The staff were friendly..
The place looks great, though some of the bathroom fittings have definitely been used. Quite a lot.
The rest of the room looked spotless.
The price was good.
I'd be happy to recommend it.

Visited the Tawny owl today with my grandson, met a friend who also had grandson with her. We paid £7.50 for a child's meal and that did not include a drink or desert! Not sure many people will be visiting in the summer holidays with children at that price......
