Lovely, down to earth staff, great service and the waiting times aren't so quick that its suspiciously quick and definitely not too long either. Great sized meals and reasonably priced drinks with a large undercover smoking area. Will definitely go again someday. After giving some thought I upgraded to 4*. I originally gave 3* because I know that being a franchise, most food is pre prepared in a warehouse which is then distributed to various national locations and knowing that main prep on site is mainly chop chop prep and breakfast prep and the batter. Obviously a level of care still goes into getting the meals out to ensure standards are kept and also know that microwave is used to a minimum with certain specifications used to go by when using the grill with constant temperature probes used and knowledge of how tender a steak is required for customer satisfaction. This site Obviously has cooks who take pride in good feedback and its obviously not the ritz but what they do is great honest food which is cooked and presented just how it should be and perfect value for money, if not, its better value for what you would expect.

This is exactly what you expect from a cheap and cheery pub. The food is reasonably priced and the drinks are too Our food was brought out quickly and was tasty considering the price. They had a good selection of veggie food, including on the kids menu which was great Don't come here for a romantic meal though as this is very much a family-friendly pub.
