Love this place! The Korean Fried Chicken with Yangnyum sauce is fantastic, and everything I've tried on the tapas menu has been delicious. The Korean BBQ menu is a tad on the expensive side but a great experience and again can't fault the quality of the marinated meat, seafood, and vegetables. Even the pizza is very, very good (had that delivered rather than dine-in)! Staff were superb: very attentive and accommodating, though I'll note that we went on a quieter evening, so I don't know how well they handle a mad rush. Two dine-in visits and a number of Just Eat orders so far and really happy with the food on every occasion.

Note: The restaurant is next to Nando's, not where Google Maps pins it at.
Food dishes were fresh and tasty, not entirely authentic Korean, but very nice.
Tapas and KFC ( Korean Fried Chicken) highly recommend.
Friendly and helpful staff.

Looking for something to eat after the cinema and this intrigued us, we were not disappointed. Live music, delicious food, good selection of drinks, reasonably priced and lovely service. We had an excellent evening.

What an experience
We went here for NYE and I'm glad we did
Food was amazing 👏 and value for money
Service with a smile. Staff are a credit to the owners nothing too much trouble and they create a welcoming atmosphere.
And I had the pleasure of meeting all 3 owners and toasted in the new year
Thank you all
Would highly recommend

Quite surprised about how good the food was, especially the crispy chicken! And the service was top! The manager was very well educated and very helpful to someone who was having Korean food for the first time!

Had dinner with friends here in Funky Grilla twice now, and once for drinks only. Ambiance is very nice for hanging out with friends. Decor is hip and fun.
Menu has some really good comfort food options. Food was probably at or below expectation. Definitely not authentic Korean BBQ experience if that is what you’re looking for (I did). Nevertheless, cocktails were good with two-for-1 options that made overall experience good!

Good, central location. Good choice of menu for various pockets. Helpful staff. Could do with a little more explanation on the menu as to what exactly the sizes of some of the items are as not everyone knows. Under Korean BBQ on the menu, I did not understand what was meant by "All dishes are raw marinated produce". So we had to keep asking the waitress to explain things to us. It would be helpful to perhaps add that it is suggested to order so many tapas or to add side dishes, or whether the raw produce is then cooked at your table by them, us or whatever.

Items on the tapas menu are decent. Particularly the k pop chicken and other friend chicken.
Cocktails are reasonable.
Tried some of the main "cook it yourself" menu. Honestly found the portions tiny and not worth the effort.
Definitely want to try the pizzas here as they look delicious.
Super friendly and helpful staff, venue is clean and tidy with a funky decor.
Found the booths at the back a bit dark lighting wise, especially when your cooking your own food.

It was such a good experience. We went at a fairly quiet time. Staff was mega friendly and efficient. The whole setting was really lovely and comfy. The food was absolutely beautiful and super tasty. We’d definitely come back numerous times - keep up with it guys (that work at the restaurant) :)

Funky Grilla was a complete mixed bag of experiences. Firstly the restaurant is designed in a very modern theme with neon lighting, great artwork and industrial piping for the ventilation. Conversely, there are old looking tables, old looking flooring and some odd contrasting colours.
The food was much the same as the decor, the most popular fried chicken was super tasty and presented nicely but a whole chicken for £21+ is extortionate. The BBQ grill was a really nice touch that most people probably would of never tried at home before so it can truly make it a one in a kind experience. The only issue was the meat cuts they use are on the fattier side so the oil from the pork / chicken etc will spit so not really safe if children are close to the grill. Also the marinade for the chicken is highly sugar based and burns very easily, burning more quickly than the chicken takes to cook (potential hazard). The chicken and meats should be in very thin tenderised slices! On another note the sides, rice £4 a portion for just plain rice?? Also chips were great but in a tiny pot for £4 again? Just seems overly expensive for what you get. I’d happily spend £4 on fries, if the portion was big enough.
Overall I think the meal was a nice one but there was no wow factor to any of the food or the experience created. However there is a good foundation to the restaurant and with a bit of work it could be great.

Literally just left and had to hop on and express how lovely and attentive the staff work. I’m a recently diagnosed coeliac and completely allergic to gluten and I’m finding it really difficult to eat out in restaurants at the moment as I’m still trying to get my bearings on what foods I can or can’t eat. The manager came to the table and provided me with a gluten free menu and a whole binder with ingredients and allergy information for the full menu. Honestly made my day, and the staff didn’t make me feel like that, ‘Awkward gluten free person at all.’ Thank you so much to the guy that greeted us and the manager lady. Really great experience and the food was lovely and tasty. Only issue neither myself or my partner had any cash to leave a tip we were so embarrassed! We will have to come back whenever we come back to Swindon. From a couple from South Wales visiting we thank you very much :)

The food I had was good but overpriced for the super small portions of the BBQ section- 4 pieces of tikka chicken was £8 and 6 individual prawns was £8 which I think isn’t value for money although the food was very tasty and a good experience to cook it at the table
Did not try the pizzas but they seemed much better priced than the BBQ menu and would like to try those in the future - also good spot for taking insta worthy photos by the entrance!

Visited 3 times.
Recommend going at lunch time!
The tapas has always been excellent recommend the Korean popcorn chicken and crispy calamari!
I've only tried the beef fillet on the BBQ section it was beautiful but felt overpriced, I don't think I'd try the BBQ section again

Our first experience was great, we had brilliant service, tried the Korean BBQ which was new flavours and experience for us and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I enquired what the dipping sauce was as it was delicious we were given unexpected small pots to take home. Highly recommend trying this restaurant out.
