Hobby Horse Farm, Dining & Carvery - Syston - Photo album

Overall a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner whether with the family or just with friends. The food is always served hot and fresh. I usually get either their roast carvery or the fish and chips. My main complaint is that there are hardly any seats for walk ins so booking in advance is strongly
Didn't know what to expect, turning up without a reservation, on a Bank Holiday Monday! But absolutely delighted that they did a GEORGEOUS carvery and they had a table for the 2 of us and 5-yr-old grandson. His pasta and drink came out quickly so we were able to get our carvery. John, Connor and Nic
Always like going to the hobby horse for carvery, food was good, service was good, atmosphere was good, lots of car parking spaces.
Came here as part of a staff evening out and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve always driven past here but never went inside. Very clean and spacious, staff are friendly and they serve decent food/drinks. A great thing about this place is that if you are passing through the midlands it is easy to get
Myself and my family went here for breakfast on Sunday. There was a waitress there called Leanne. She was so kind to myself and my family. She sorted me a table out suitable for my disabled grandson she could not do enough for us It was so busy there but she still went out of her way, we go there
For multiple Sunday Carvery covers, the food was good. Jack was good behind the bar and friendly. The atmosphere is a little 'tired' and could do with a bit of a brush up. I would return so that says it all!
For a carvery, it was top notch. I took the family here. It's my 1st carvery in years and it was good, really good. Reasonable price and the quality/ quantity was ample. Id return here without hesitation.
Great value carvery had standard plate which was substantial...noticed huge cakes on the way out must try another time Well worth a visit
Ordered the smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread with extra bacon.. Tasted amazing, perfect runny eggs, and generous slices of bacon without any fat. Service was quick and very cheerful and friendly staff.
Visited here quite a few times but this time the service was by far the best by Clare who was very attentive and had a great sense a humour (I think it was anyway lol) After a horrible reception at The Willow we decided to stick to what we know and went hobby horse. It my Nana’s birthday and Clare m
Service was very good but we had separate meals which 3 were carvery’s and mine was steak. When mine came out to the table it was cold due to the fact that the "Chef" was busy and forgot to shout service so my waiter told me but did not offer to replace it so therefore minimum was eaten. My 3 quest'
I wanted to say a big Thankyou to Jack and all the team at the hobby horse for making Sunday 10th March lovely . Was joint Birthday/Mothers day celebrations . They did a tremendous job. From the minute we got there , the service , All of the team at the bar esp Millie for taking such a huge order an
I went with my family and it was extremely nice, Leann and Misty were extremely helpful on the bar and food being taken out. I would definitely recommend for family meals!
I stopped here for lunch and I got really friendly, quick service from the bar staff, and the food is very reasonably priced and good value. A pleasant, family-friendly pub and I would recommend!
