Traditional pub with a nice interior and large garden. Food and service is very good and well priced. Several menu options were unavailable on our visit due to a change in management.
I came here for the roast and was pleasantly surprised. The portion sizes are better than others, although 3 courses will run you around £30 a person. There are additions such as cauliflower cheese that are very nice, but were a little expensive. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the envir
Very lovely eatery. The portion sizes are ideal, the food is very flavoursome. They have a good selection of drinks. Above all else, the staff were incredible during our visit. A lovely lady called Samantha looks after the 8 of us is such a courteous and caring manner.
We visited as a family for a celebratory birthday meal. Our visit was on Sunday and so it was always going to be a roast for dinner. Oh boy was it good?! Empty (and clean) plates all round, every single item of food was tasty, cooked to perfection and brought to our table with a smile! Thank you to
Just came back from a wonderful meal for 15 people for our parents anniversary. Normally you find with this many to serve that the service falters somewhere. However, not the case here. All staff were excellent! Sorry I didn't catch any names but this was Sunday 10th at 5pm. The gentleman on the bar
Service wasn't great. But the food was very nice 😋 👌
Family-friendly place, with a large pub garden and a decent range of local and national beers. Food served on the premises. It is also on the Camino de ingles (The Way of St. James), which runs from Reading to Southampton, before continuing in Spain to Satiago de Compostela. There is a stamp for pi
We haven't been in ages but it was lovely being back. Great food, great service and nothing too much trouble. Thank you.
Had a great lunch here on the hottest day of the year so far (June 2023). The lady serving was excellent, polite and ensured we were looked after. There is a QR code for allergens and great for my coeliac daughter, her meal was almost identical so she did not feel left out in anyway. The kids meals
Came here with friends yesterday for Sunday lunch. The COVID-19 procedures were all very clear and the staff were very helpful/knowledgable. Everywhere was immaculately clean and they clearly have this down to a T. Lunch was wonderful - plenty of meat, unlimited Yorkshire puddings and loads of veg
Great pub, lovely food, really friendly staff. Had a working lunch here today and had a very pleasant experience. Staff were really accommodating and their service was excellent. Food was really good. Multiple fish and chips, and sandwich combos. All very tasty and great portion size. Stayed for a c
Excellent staff, food and service. Will visit again for sure. To start, we ordered the baked camembert to share. Deliciously melted and the bread it came with was incredibly moreish. I ordered the pie & mash - expertly crimped pie, crust to die for, filling from the heavens. I really enjoyed this pi
We go in for drinks once a week and occasionally have a meal here after our regular spot became much more of a restraunt. The food is fantastic and the staff are lovely. They know our faces and are more than happy for people to come in for a drink and not order food.
Visited for a Sunday roast - Unfortunately the service was a bit hit and miss very slow to get drinks to start. We did have to ask twice for things we requested. Staff did apologise and were friendly. Just perhaps needed more people on to help out as it was fairly busy. Food was good and decent port
Typical above average gastro pub of which there are many but must mention the staff here. It was a hot busy day and just 3 front of house ladies who were absolutely charming, attentive and friendly. Making time to chat and regularly ask if they could enhance our experience in anyway possible. A big
