Great little chip shop with fresh tasty food.
Keeping the good hygiene practices with hand gel at the entrance set a good mood, with the cashier sanitising between each cash handle.
Came in in the last 30 mins before closing, they cooked the cod fresh, didn't take too long. Cod was hot and batter was crispy as it should be.
Pure excellence. I started frequenting Franklin after becoming suspect about the quality of the fish from my old chippy in the area. After switching allegiances to Franklin, I must admit, I became a little disillusioned to think I have been missing out on properly prepared fish for so many years is just dreadful! The fish is juicy and the batter is of just the right proportion; these two attributes are very rare to find in combination. The other staple of chips are similarly fantastic, the chips are of a consistent size, portion sizes are generous and the texture is soft - yet not mushy. The prices are decent and when factoring in the quality, some might say the prices are bargain-prices. The customer service here was good too.
