They do 3 different sizes of fried breakfast here. I always go for the middle one as it's plenty big enough for me. Really tasty sausage and nice thick bacon, unlike some other cafes that I've been to. Great food and friendly staff. I really enjoy going here.
First time at the kitchen cafe yesterday for breakfast, was really impressed. Wish we would have realised this place was here sooner will definitely be back. Also got some puddings to take home to have in the evening cakes were very good. Staff was lovely.
Beautiful fresh cooked breakfast, well worth the wait! We will definitely be back.
We visited The Kitchen Cafe yesterday for breakfast. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and it was hot when it arrived at the table. The service was excellent and I shall certainly be paying another visit in the near future.
Very clean Good food and friemdly staff Always customers in there
Came in for a nice breakfast and loved it, the coffee was lovely and the staff were very pleasant.
The best part about the breakfast was that the fat on the bacon was perfectly cooked and crispy too so that was an absolute treat.
Will definitely be coming back here again soon.
We had the small breakfast which actually wasn't small, but just the right size portions.
The quality of the breakfast was better than many I have had in hotels. Glad we found it, and will definitely go back again.
I have never had a bad experience here and I've been coming for about 10 years. The food is just lovely, especially the breakfast.
I stayed in a 5 star hotel recently and the breakfast at the kitchen was 100 times better. Highly recommend.
Lovely cafe with inside and outside seating. Good choice of food. We had a Prawn sandwich plus bacon & brie sandwich which were very tasty and had loads of filling. Really good coffee too. The staff were friendly and very helpful
Beautiful place, friendly cheerful staff can't fault the food it was lovely 😋 definitely give a big massive 5 stars 🌟

Very friendly staff, excellent service and breakfast.
Would definitely recommend A+++
A greasy spoon that has embraced modernity and blossomed into a culinary institution. Would you like Korn or Linda McCartney sausages with your vegetarian breakfast? Brown bread toast? The locals love it and you will too.
Very busy when I arrived 9n the 27.11.21. Possibly due to Wetherspoons being closed or more likely the quality of the food.
I had the small breakfast for £4.85 and was allowed to swap the bacon and sausage for two veggie sausages.
Plenty of choice in this friendly licenced cafe. Pot of tea £1.75.
Will return.
Lovely well presented Full English breakfast, just perfect, booked table slightly busy, would recommend 👌 😀
First visit.. friendly staff, clean and tasty full breakfasts ... Nice job.
Popped in on our travels this morning for a breakfast and cuppa. After a really stressful morning it was a welcome positive to find a cafe that served one of the best full English breakfasts I've had in a long time. Fully recommend!
I'd walked by this place many times from the train station, on my way from there throught the town. This was the first time I felt able to visit for one reason or another, but usually time related. It had caught my eye because it was bright and cheerfully decorated and was always busy. So, I was a bit excited to finally have the chance to visit.
It was early on a sunny and warm Saturday. I had my dog with me and we sat outside on a pretty little roadside table. I went in to order. The place was very tidy and clean and there was plenty of staff available. We exchanged pleasantries, I ordered a cooked breakfast and a tea. I was delighted that the tea came in a pot. I also ordered a sandwich to go.
The road was quiet and all that passed us was mainly pedestrians. My server dropped the tea out to us, noted my dog, and brought out a bowl of water for him. I thought that a lovely, thoughtful touch. The breakfast arrived shortly afterwards. It was cooked as ordered and the ingredients were better than the usual inner-city breakfast, although that is reflected in the price. The mushrooms were fresh, not frozen, the bacon was thick, and not the common slice of ham disguised as bacon. We polished the plate (my dog helped me with the sausages).
I collected the sandwich and drooled at the cakes while I waited for it the be fetched from the kitchen. I must add that the toilets were clean but compact. I mention this because I've been to many places where the front of house has been maintained but where the toilets are far from clean, making me wonder what the kitchen must be like.
I'll stop by another day to see what it's like in the afternoon. It's definitely a place I'd like to return to.
Have visited on and off for a few years. Last two visits have been of a slightly lesser experience unfortunately. This was a favourite place of my Mum's, they do (or did) an amazing Malteser cheesecake, and if not eating in, I would often have a slice to take out if visiting the town centre. The staff allowed me to pay and I would collect my order after I'd finished shopping. I noticed on one of my last visits the chilled counter had been removed, so I queried at the till with the staff if they had any chilled puddings. The member of staff did not understand what I meant and had to go out the back to ask someone. There was a brief confused discussion by the sounds of it, the member of staff was sent back out still with a confused look on her face bless her. I re-phrased the question to asking for any chilled desserts, the member of staff re-asked out the back and the answer was no, however, they might be looking at updating the menu.
On my last two visits I have had a jacket potato and both were slighty under cooked - you recognise the texture as being slightly harder to cut through, the spud wasn't fluffy!!
I've since learned The Kitchen is under new management, so I get there will always be that sort of handover/adjusting period, so will be giving it a few more weeks before I return.
Young staff who work there are friendly and enthusiastic, if not serving were always cleaning, remaining table contents were removed quickly after diners left. Wifi available. One large toilet on the premises, well kept and lovely and clean with lesser abled facilities, cafe all on one level. Also able to eat outside the front of the cafe if weather permits, and the front area is canopied. The Kitchen has its ' own designated parking area next to the premises, only for three cars I believe, but alternative (chargeable Mon-Sat up until 6pm) parking is only two minutes walk away. As such, the outdoor eating area faces a one-way traffic street, but it is not busy, so alfresco dining is still a pleasant experience.
One of our favourite places to go for breakfast. The food and service is great and is very reasonably priced.
Lovely staff, had a bacon sausage egg tomato sandwich..... perfect! 4mins walk from Tamworth train station.....why wouldn't you stop there!
Great place. Good breakfasts and lovely staff.
Great little cafe. Friendly staff and reasonably priced freshly prepared food!
Best breakfast in tamworth! Staff are so lovely and welcoming. A place where so many different age groups, cultures etc all come together and enjoy the great food and company
