Great pub with friendly staff. We enjoy popping in here on the weekend with our dog .. Everyone is so welcoming towards dogs and the bar gives out treats so our dog loves it too! Our favourite local after moving to the Area in August

We attended the Alice in Wonderland event this afternoon and were amazed at the effort that was put in. Not only from the staff and their outfits, but with keeping the kids happy laying on glitter tattoos, face painting, croquet, quoits, a bouncy castle and a circus performer helping them learn tricks and offering balloon animals. All free of charge. Thank you so much for organising this event. The kids loved it and we enjoyed a drink or two over lunch!

Group of us went to last nights Halloween night. Bernie put on a spectacular night as ever her and her team worked so hard and made everyone welcome . The children loved it as games disco dressing up and pub decorated were amazing, Bernie even putting in her own pocket to provide sweets and games. Adults were relaxed as kids played and the food was delicious . Well done Bernie and your friendly hard working team. The turn around of this pub from previously is fabulous please carry on good work and we will continue to visit .

Great place for a pint and and bite to eat right next to the Canal. Good food, draught beers, good location and good service. Prices are good too. Shady outside under the large Willow on a hot day.

Always a friendly welcome, really tasty, good value food, good menu & a specials board. Good selection of drinks including cask ales, canal side pub with lovely garden area adjacent to the canal with a small park for the kids.

Nice pub, on the canal which is a nice setting and can be accessed via the canal if you were on a walk and fancied a drink or a bit to eat. The food was average but tasty. Would recommend the sticky toffee pudding and the mixed grill. Would not recommend the hallumi fries they were not what we expected. Good selection of drinks at the bar good beer and cider on draft.

I go here every Friday with my dad for coffee after shopping. The service is always excellent, with friendly staff. It's always a pleasant atmosphere with a country feel charm. Well done to staff, making my memories with my dad count.

nice pub wheel chair access is limited as the isles are narrow and getting to the bar can be a problem. toilets were nice and clean and a good selection of beers. There is also food available at the bar we had some chips with BBQ sauce. They sell children's pop as well.friendly atmosphere. In the summer there is a lovely outside area where you can the narrow boats go up and down the river and they park up by the pub they are very close. plus a play area for the children this is fenced off. Good parking but you suddenly come up on the entrance as the sign is partly covered by a tree.

Atmosphere and staff really good, food ok but my hunters chicken, the chicken was burned really hard underneath and difficult to cut and eat, having said that my husband really enjoyed his meal of fish and chips, maybe just unfortunate my meal wasn't cooked just right but wouldn't put me off from going again for another meal.

Not a bad pub at all - the staff are absolutely awesome people and the beers are really well-kept. A good selection from the Marstons brewery. Beautiful views of the canal and you can watch the boats go by. Sadly, the food is really hit and miss, with each of our meals being a bit dissapointing. The burgers were very poor quality (tasted as if from frozen) and the lasagne was a very small portion.

This place has had its ups and downs over the years but it's certainly on an up now. We only had drinks today but the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. Super friendly staff too. Update Jun 23 : Still a great place to be. Cowboy burger is well recommend especially with a pint of Aspell's.
