Not the friendliest pub in town, a bit too cliquey for me. Good selection of beers wines and spirits but could definitely do with a good clean. Pool table and fruit machines and also a boxing machine? & jukebox. Telly's either show music channels or sport and there is also a big screen and projector. The toilets are on the one level and would be accessible to wheelchair and disability scooters and 90% of the seating is on that same level. Food is served as is Sunday dinner and there is more than enough tables and chairs to go around. Day trade seems to be on the older side but with live bands appearing here the age group drops of an evening. Drinks prices are ok and the quality is good in my limited experience. Again probably not one to take the wife to but amongst friends a lively experience.

Tamworth used to have loads of live bands in pubs, i think the Coven must be one of the very few left , the area around it is very dilapidated and bleak , but the pub itself is great , beer is cheap and the staff are all very friendly . If you don't want live music to die out then i suggest you get off your lazy arses and go and see some live music played by real people at the Coven, doesn't matter if you don't know the band or the music , just go , much more entertaining than watching rubbish on the telly with your just eat pizza , and the best thing is you get to see real people , people you can interact with and have a good time . Don't ponder , just do it !, its fun .

Great pub, very well run. And it's a great venue for live, grass roots music. Good food too.
