We called in for a quick lunch on a Sunday very recently. As I had a beautiful soup once before that's what I wanted. I was told that because it was Sunday they had a Sunday menu which was fine with us. Apparently they have soups on Monday to Saturday now so they can cater for everyone. Nonetheless we had a lovely meal and pots of tea which set us up nicely for our onward journey. The two young servers were very polite and helpful and we shall definitely call in again.

Great service, great food and always looked after. Very COVID compliant and always feel very safe. Bob,Charlie and the team do a great job and we visit regularly especially with how dog friendly it is for our boys. Thanks guys (the Gin & Tonics selection are AMAZING)
Customer service excellence when we stopped in to Applegates Farm Shop on the way up to North Wales for a break. We opted for the sofa in the book, despite it being a bit chilly, it was our choice but the staff said they'd move all our stuff to a warmer table if we got too cold. Lovely cake choices, can't vote for the food as all we had was coffee, tea & mince pies but they didn't disappoint at all. My black coffee in particular was excellent, tricky to find in my opinion in the UK. Applegates is typical of many farm shops, augmenting their wares with other seasonal stuff, but a very nice selection of produce and Christmas ideas & inspirations to peruse in a fine converted barn building, plenty of parking space and a few other things to look at outside. Make sure your reactions are on the ball pulling out onto the main road, it can be fast & furious, but that's the only downside.
Delicious cakes, coffee and tea. Lovely place to sit and enjoy the food. Very friendly staff and interesting Applegate Antique Centre on the same site. Will definitely go there again.
As always, fabulous, local and wonderful! As a customer we could use the toilets as we actually paid for something! Funny how that works isn't it! Great little space for us to come and unwind in. Would highly recommend it. Very friendly owners!
What an unexpected gem. We stopped by en route and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Fresh and tasty food. We also loved the farm shop. So much beautiful produce. We will definitely ensure we pass again and pop in.
We had a lovely lunch at Applegates! There is a really interesting and varied menu making our choice difficult. There is also a farm shop and antique emporium on site. The cafe area is comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I love Applegates! There is a great range of local produce in the shop and the food served in the cafe is delicious. The staff are always really welcoming and friendly. My little girl loves the chickens outside and playing on the wooden tractor.
Nice and cozy place. Includes farm shop and Cafe. 1 male, 1 female shower+toilet room and 1 extra gender neutral toilet without shower. Suitable for tents as well as caravans. Pleasant experience overall. Wifi available.
Called here on our way back from Chester zoo,it was quite late and the shop was about to close as was the cafe,however the lovely friendly people happily opened the doors and greeted us with smiles ,we had a delicious scone and coffee and then went on to buy a pork pie and sausage roll with a choice of fillings,ate those the following day and they were to die for! We will certainly be back if we are in the vicinity,thankyou so much
Lovely full english breakfast & friendly staff. Dog friendly too in the cafe. Will be returning soon & would recommend to others.
