I cannot recommend this place enough. My husband and I go for drinks when we can and the food is always top notch and the staff are fantastic. Vicki on the bar knows her staff and her regulars which is amazing. The owner jamal is a great guy and always says hello to us. It is by far the best place for me in town to go to.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a truly memorable evening here. The atmosphere and the service throughout were perfect and the food sublime! I had pork and apricot terrine to start followed by pan-fried guinea fowl with roasted new potatoes and a “medley of peas”. The food was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented in portions that were neither too small nor too much which was just as well because I had room for a dessert and here there are no words to describe the quite amazing triple chocolate tart with orange compote! All this accompanied by a delicious Sauvignon blanc. This was our second evening meal here and we will most certainly be returning - hopefully many times!! Thank you to everyone there.

Excellent table service (attentive, responsive and prompt). Excellent wines and guest ales. Food was superb, with generous portion sizes. Some more more delicate flavours (eg crab starter) a bit overwhelmed by accompanying stronger flavours. We'll worth a second visit

Can't speak highly enough of this place. From the minute we walked in the staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and extremely professional and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely exquisite. We went as a small party so we had pre ordered but I don't like garlic so when we sent in our pre order this was clearly stated and the chef bless him made sure non of my food contained garlic and substituted it with other flavours. My advice would be be to book a table and give this fantastic restaurant a try.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here on Saturday, the food was lovely and the service was just as great. To the couple who surprised my boyfriend and I by contributing to our bill, you made our weekend away even more special and we were overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness - thank you so much! (Hopefully you see this) x

Superb. Had an excellent Sunday lunch here today with the family. Very fair prices, delicious food, lovely decor, great atmosphere, and the service staff upstairs were a credit to the business.

Well the Ring of Bells couldn't fit us in (Sunday) and this was a great find. They always do good food from memory and this is now our go to for Sunday dinner 👍. Great food & wine choice with a very knowledgeable waitress. Just perfect 👌. We won't leave it so long the next time.

What a diamond! Haven't been in this restaurant for far too long. Our usual haunt for Sunday lunch was fully booked so we opted for here and how glad am I. Great decor, friendly welcome from the lady front of house, who was obviously knowledgeable of her wine list when we were making our decision. We had a glass of red to go with the roast beef, cooked pink, as stated in the menu ( although you can request it to be more well cooked ) the cauliflower cheese was divine as was the light fluffy Yorkshire pud. Plenty of gravy in a boat too so you can add as much as you wish. Couldn't fault it. Had a delicious crisp white with my cranberry bakewell tart with orange creme. All in all a great lunch out and I can't wait to go back. Thank you
