We had a farewell meal for a work colleague. It was held in the downstairs function room. I has a private bar and fits her bill for a small group get-together. The meal was good well presented and reasonably priced for three course. The location is central with parking close by.
I would certainly recommend this venue for a small group get-together.

For amount of staff it appeared available. THE lady in charge of looking after wedding party friday was bloody superb.. not too sure i liked the decor in dining area as it looked like in parts a dirty protest!!

Had a really pleasant lunch here, Gluten Free, with a couple of green mocktales.
Chatted for two hours, never felt rushed.
Ordered pea risotto which was nice but not spectacular. Great service with a super sweet and hugely smiling waitress.

I've been in this place for a dinner with a group of colleagues, we enjoyed the place for the good food. The atmosphere is really welcoming and warm, reminiscent of the classic English style. Fast and friendly service, good selection of beers

Very good service, excellent food, high quality well presented. Friendly greeting relaxed service no pressure, felt very easy no hurry to eat and leave. Decor and building really interesting and comfortable.
The Den down stairs is comfortable and relaxing for coffee after dinner or with friends for a chat.
Would definitely recommend.
