Totally amazing birthday party for my daughter! We were impressed by the attention to details on everything from decorations to the activities. The 2 "jesters" were fabulous at keeping all the children engaged and entertained. My daughter felt so special and will treasure so many happy memories from a beautiful happy afternoon. I would recommend The Museum of Somerset for anyone who wants a memorable party with a difference. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Excellent stuff. Really impressed. Very friendly staff. Great layouts and history of Somerset. Including Roman times. Love the lighting used and the tree exhibit. The royal photographic society exhibition the icing on the cake (being a photographer myself) Definitely recommend.

A delight. Woman in costume outside Tudor house really knows her stuff. The museum is really well done - historically informative, but clearly has been thoughtfully planned and designed. Top marks; what a museum should be. One detail: Wurzels or Wurzles? And a Roman mosaic! It was a slightly murky day and we had half an hour to kill. I said to my wife, 'why not?' What a lovely surprise!

Really surprised to find such a great museum in the middle of the town. Free to enter but they welcome a donation. Very informative with descriptions for everything. Very nice cafe which wasn't expensive. Lovely clean toilets. All in all well worth a visit.

It's the most comforting and quiet place on Earth. I just love it. I had the pleasure of living in Tauton for quite a while and the museum was my favourite place in town.

Excellent all round! I visited for the first time last Thursday and received a lovely welcome from the lady behind the counter. The exhibits, well, they were excellent. So hard to find words for this experience, all I can say is that I can't wait to go for another visit x

Friendly service, peaceful surrounding and good food. Perfect place on a sunny afternoon outside or indoors on a cold winter's morning. Please note: the website linked by Google is NOT for the Castle Cafe!

Lovely soup and sandwich combo. Homemade soup and bread was delicious though one piece of bread a bit dry. Good side salad with sandwiches.Would have preferred pot of tea rather than cups.
