This place continues to impress me with portion, cost and now recyclable containers! Yes! Cardboard dishes and cup for the food and mushy peas!!! No more polystyrene flavoured food from melted trays.

Fish & Chips again today 26 august
As usual top quality I wouldn't go anywhere else. Only place that knows how to cook fish & chips properly.
Haven't been here for a while due to covid. Hasn't changed a bit .Still the same excellent smiling helpful service and still the best fish & chips in Taunton. To top things the girl serving recognised me even with my mask on.

Walked in and really friendly, wasn't busy but not many chippys I go in that are at lunch time unless they in Town centre.
Prices seem excellent, I haven't had regular chips for under £2.50 in a very long time. Reg chips and jumbo battered sausage for less than a fiver is rare now days. Chips are nice, super good portion size, sausage nice and batter was just right, not to much or too thin and nice little crunch.
If I'm this way again I will stop for sure.

Driving down the M5 to Devon. Suddenly had a chip craving. Detoured in to Taunton and found the Star, so glad we did. Open in the day, massive portions of chips and lovely staff. Highly recommend!

First time I ordered delivery from this chippy. Haddock very tasty and batter crisp. Chips tasty too and good portion. Definitely order again and recommend.

I love this shop but ordering with ubereat is so expensive. £9.50 for large fish and £5.10 for cheeseburger, £4.00 for large chips is extortionate so have stopped using them
