Busy, but you could find a seat. Live music, bit of a dance area. Great staff. Made our night.

Love going to the racehorse when I get some down time from work. Mary is a fantastic landlady and is always welcoming, as are the rest of the bar staff. The atmosphere is always good and the live bands are great. One of the best places in Taunton.
Nice local pub with good Guinness, I particularly like the covered outside area. Selection of drinks and spirits is pretty basic and they don't do food apart from a happy hour type of affair where they have dishes out at the bar. Loud retro live music on Fridays is also a regular fixture.

A lovely traditional old pub with good beer and service. A bit pricey but guess that's Taunton town centre rates. Whatever, we would definitely go back next time we are in the area.
