Had a function in their top room recently for over 50 of us. Louise and Tony could not have been more accommodating to my requests and everything went so well, would happily recommend this venue to anyone needing to hold a party/function

We had our wedding reception in the bar and seating area , best thing we did with such a fantastic atmosphere ,staff were exceptional, food amazing , all guests had a fantastic time .

Here for a full English, num num. Had a ginger beer later, 2 hrs on just ordered 2 coffees, may have lunch Later as waiting for car to be service, Tony just arrived with a nice latte and flat white. What's not to like.

Mckenzies was absolutely brilliant today! We were a group of 6 for tapas, pizzas, chips etc Food and service were great. Staff friendly and welcoming and the place was lovely and clean too. Would definitely recommend 👌 Thankyou.

Had a lovely bottomless brunch with friends.
Service was great, lots of customers enjoying themselves made for a super atmosphere.
Burgers were lovely, recommend the Dune bug cocktail jug, which we topped up with our bottle of prosecco.
Will definitely visit again.

Great place to stop and have brunch or lunch with friends and family. It's also ideal as it's right opposite where all the buses stop now in Castle Way. Had lunch again today(24/4/2023) always very good service when waiting for a bus back home. Today I suggested a change of venue from the Hangout bar to Mackenzies Bar and Kitchen to a old shop reunion group of people so we went and had coffee and a catch up. I visited once again and had a nice light snack before heading home as Mackenzies Bar is directly opposite the main bus stop. Would recommend this lovely place to anyone who visits Taunton and it's also within reach of the main museum and the main hotel in Taunton called The Castle Hotel.

A very nice gastro pub, it's a nice space and environment. There's a good selection of pub foods and beers, although the drinks are a little expensive. They do a 15% discount for stagecoach travellers. It's in a great location for bus travellers and the castle green is gorgeous in the summer.

Calm environment, wasn't too busy around 5pm on a Thursday. Brilliant service throughout, friendly & inviting staff. Excellent deal 2for1 on burgers. Meal was cooked to perfection, Kudos to the chef!

Very friendly staff, bright and comfortable bar and seating area, refurbished with lots of wood and stone finish. Menu good, 2 for one burgers are amazing value and happy hour 5 til 8 on beer and cocktails. Set in the castle green area the surroundings are lovely from the outside area
