Meeting midway between S Cornwall and E Devon, we were offered a private corner which worked perfectly even with the Halloween Murder Mystery event going on in the main bar....
It was all very "Agatha Christie" with foul weather outside and a lovely wood burner glowing inside....excellent service all round.

Met up with some friends for a meal and few drinks, I'm local to this pub but not really had the chance to to visit before tonight.
I had scallops starter, fish and chips for main , and sticking toffee pudding for afters.
And it was all delicious and would go as far to say that the fish was probably the best iv had in a long time if not ever.
The lager was nice and the attentiveness from the staff was great...
A lovely experience all in all and look forward to my next visit to this pub

The owner fitted us in at late notice, which was much appreciated. We had a roast with all the trimmings. Everything was perfect!

Beautiful pub. Lovely inside , nice seating area outside. Sunday dinner was fantastic. Cooked to perfection . It was the best sunday dinner i have eaten out . Service was excellent. Friendly helpful staff .

First visit and massively impressed with the food and the staff. Way beyond expectations so will definitely be visiting again. Great to find a proper pub that does excellent food and really well priced. We had scallops, Venison Liver and Hake dishes and everything was delicious. Handy too to have extra car park just down the road so literally a mins walk.

Very friendly, cosy pub with amazing homemade food! Owners so welcoming & having time for all customers. We booked as we have a dog and wanted a table tucked away to allow her to relax and not be in the way of other customers. Great cider choices and ended evening with very nice coffee. We will definitely be back very soon.

1st visit but definitely not the last.
The staff were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble despite a last minute change.
Sunday lunch was excellent and plentiful with a good gluten free selection.

An absolutely lovely pub, great atmosphere, great food, especially the meat. I have just marked 1 point down as the roast potatoes were more sautéed and I would prefer proper roasties for Sunday lunch, but that is personal choice
